Striker keen on Premier League move, Agent issues Camavinga message and Leno announces he wants to stay at Arsenal in Gunners roundup…
Arsenal have been boosted in their bid to sign Slavia Prague star Abdallah Sima, with the forward reportedly looking to complete a move to England
Sima, 19, joined Slavia’s B side last July but was soon promoted to the first-team squad and has been in rampant form for the Czech champions, notching up 19 goals in all competitions this term.
His performances this season has led to alot of speculation in the media that the Arsenal scouts have been very impressed with his performances this season and are ready to make a tempting offer in the transfer window.
Slavia slapped a £50m price tag on Sima in January amid strong interest from all the big clubs showing an interest in the player, but that may not be enough to stop him asking for a transfer move away.
And the latest reports claim the teenager – who has already been capped by Senegal – would favour a switch to the Premier League and his representatives are in close contact with several teams from the English top flight.
Arsenal view Sima as a possible long-term replacement for Alexandre Lacazette, who has just one year remaining on his current deal at the Emirates.
Bernd Leno says he is still happy at Arsenal and insists there are no other players in the dressing room who want to leave the club.
There was massive hope at the end of the season that Arsenal would be challenging for more than just a top four spot this season, especially after winning that FA Cup last year in shock fashion.
However, after a very disappointing campaign this year, Arsenal face the prospect of no European football for the first time in 25 years, and According to newspaper reports, Germany goalkeeper Leno is supposedly one of the first players who will leave the Emirates part of a summer overhaul.
However, despite all the speculation that he will be sold in the transfer window, the 29-year-old says he wants to stay and insists no one else in the dressing room is pushing for a move either.
“I am still happy at Arsenal. Arsenal is still a big club, a big name in the world and in the Premier League,” he told Sky Sports.
“There is nobody in the dressing room who says ‘I want to leave the club, I am not happy here anymore’.
“We still have a good environment at the club and in the dressing room. Of course, at times it was not easy this season, but this is part of football.”
Leno is not the stopper that Arsenal need in that squad and they need to splash the cash to bring in a better alternative that will add 20-points to the side.
Eduardo Camavinga’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, says they have had “a lot of offers from top clubs” for the Arsenal target
The midfielder, who has made 37 appearances in all competitions this season for Rennes, has impressed immensely with the Ligue 1 side and is in contention for a call-up to the France squad for this summer’s European Championship.
Arsenal are one of a number of clubs that are reportedly very interested in signing the young man in the transfer window, with reports that Rennes will be demanding a massive £100 million fee for their young man.
And amid all the speculation, Barnett has opened up and admitted that there are a lot of offers on the table from big clubs, he told SNTV: “Believe me we have a lot of offers for this year, a lot of offers, and good ones. I mean top, top clubs. We don’t want to rush. There is the right time to move on and playing games is the most important thing at his age.
“Playing in a good club is nice for him. It might be this year, or he wants to have another year. He has got to talk to his family, his father. We will all sit down and decide. We will talk to Rennes as well and decide. There is no rush for him.
“He’s probably the best young player in the world. He has just turned 18. He has already been a French international. He’s an unbelievable talent. He could play in any team in the world. He is still going to be a great talent at 19. It’s not that old you know, 19.”
Arsenal would be lucky to get the man, as they simply dont have the funds it would take to sign him up
