Arsenal told ‘MAKE SURE’ £70 million star signed after terms get agreed!

Kevin Campbell argues that ARSENAL should do everything within their means to add Moises Caicedo to their squad before the start of the upcoming season.

The Ecuador international has enjoyed an impressive season on the south coast and has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs in the process.

Arsenal were strongly linked with a £70 million deal to sign the 21-year-old in January; however, a move never materialised and Caicedo proceeded to sign a new contract with Brighton that runs until 2027.

Despite the new deal, the report reveals that Brighton are resigned to losing their star midfielder this summer and Arsenal have been heavily tipped to secure a move for the powerhouse.

Arsenal still want to sign him ahead of the 2023-24 campaign, and according to new reports, they have now ‘agreed personal terms’ with the player, but are struggled to agree a fee.

Now – amid that speculation – Campbell has told the Gunners to make sure they do all they can to sign the midfielder: “Brighton are going to push the boat and see where they can get to. They know that he’s going to go, but they want as much as they can. £100 million might come down to 80, 70. These young players are so good,” he told Egal Talks Football.

“But again, you get a young player like that and you have him for 10 years, it’s £8-£10 million a year. When you think about it like that, it’s not a lot of money to have that quality.”

There has been alot said about the future of Caicedo – but one thing is for certain – he is ready for that next step in his career.

He does not need to leave Brighton just yet – he will be playing European football next season – but the desire to be better is there and that is why he will be a great signing for the Gunners.

And with Granit Xhaka leaving the club – he could be the ideal man to come in and help fill the void of the Swiss star.
