Kevin Campbell has heaped praise on Arsenal target Gianluca Scamacca with reports the Gunners are keen on a transfer deal for the lad

Gunners fans are all excited to see just what striker Mikel Arteta brings to the club over the coming months – as right now – they literally have no main striker to work with over the summer

And that has led to reports in the media which have claimed that Arsenal are very interested in Scamacca – who has been making a real name for himself both in Seria A and for the Italy National side

Scamacca scored 16 goals in 36 Serie A appearances last season and is valued at around the £50 million mark – but after seeing the Italian striker in action live – Campbell has praised the highly-talented striker.

When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the striker’s performance, Campbell said: “I thought he was neat and tidy.

“He is 6 foot 4 and you could see he has presence.

“He had a couple of half chances but the game wasn’t great. One thing I will say is that his link play is brilliant. It is very good and he puts himself about..

“If you watch video clips of him he looks decent. He knows where the goal is. It looks as if he will cause a lot of problems.

“His value is not going to be defined by the England game. I saw signs of why Arsenal are interested in him.”

There are so many strikers linked with a move to the Emirates and fans dont know who they would like to see arrive more – but Scamacca is a big unit that could lead that Arsenal side beautifully

He may not be the most graceful of players – but for the right money he could make a serious impact for Arteta
