Arsenal will be getting Portuguese star ‘for a great price’ at £40 million, fans have been told!

Arsenal hero Kevin Campbell believes his former club would be getting Wolves star Ruben Neves for a “great price” if they signed him for £40million.

The Gunners have identified the Wolves midfielder as a replacement for Granit Xhaka, who is set to join Roma for £20million, as Mikel Arteta seeks to add a bit more quality to his squad in the transfer window

The Telegraph claim Arsenal are preparing to bid for Neves with Wolves demanding a minimum fee of £40m for the 24-year-old, who has made 176 appearances since joining Wolves for £15.8million from Porto.

And amid all the speculation, Campbell has opened up and claimed that Arsenal would be getting a real bargain if they managed to secure a deal for the very impressive Neves this transfer window.

Campbell told Football Insider: “What a player he is.

“This is the crazy thing, he was never on my radar because as far as I am concerned Wolves would never sell him.

“There will be some big change at Wolves this summer and if Arsenal can sneak in a deal for Neves that would be great. I think £40million is a great price for him to be honest”

There is no doubt that Neves has the quality to be a massive player at the Emirates if the Gunners can get a transfer deal done and dont be too tight with that budget.

To get quality, they need to spend big and £40 million is not alot of money for a player that has already proven himself in the Premier League and would be a brilliant signing for the club.

The Gunners would be foolish to miss out on the man
