Italian tells fans if Arsenal are signing £61M man after deal revealed for £40M star

Despite Joao Cancelo being ‘appreciated’ by Arsenal, don’t expect the Gunners to make a move for the Man City star.

The transfer window is in full swing and ARSENAL are looking to sign quite a few players that they feel will give them more of a chance on winning that premier League title for the first time since 2004.

Joao Cancelo is a man that has been on the shopping list of the Gunners for a few months now as it is clear that he is done at Man City – with Mikel Arteta ready to pay £60 million in order to get a deal done.

WHAT IS THE LATEST – 

Fabrizio Romano believes now Mikel Arteta’s side have signed Jurrien Timber, they will be covered at right-back and there will be no need to make a move for Cancelo this summer window

Romano told GIVEMESPORT: “Arsenal have always monitored them [Cancelo and Henrichs]. We always mentioned Cancelo as a player appreciated by Arsenal.

“But, at the moment, I think with Timber, their idea is to cover the right-back and centre-back positions. He’s a very versatile player that Mikel Arteta loves to have in the squad. So, this is the idea.”

Cancelo is a top player – he has won countless trophies. But Man City dont want him – Bayern Munich decided not to keep hold after a loan spell – ARSENAL should get the hint.

Timber will be a very good addition to the Arsenal side – and although he may not be at the quality of Cancelo – not won as many trophies – the Dutchman is still a very impressive signing for the Gunners.
