Arsenal interested in Premier League midfielder, Zaha claim made, German opens door to Arsenal move, Blues expecting Willian to make Arsenal move

Arsenal interested in Cantwell, Zaha claim made, Boateng eyes Premier League move, Chelsea expecting Willian to make move in Arsenal roundup…

Bayern Munich centre-back Jerome Boateng has hinted at a potential move to the Premier League, with Arsenal a club that has been linked.

With constant reports in the media suggesting that Mikel Arteta is keen to bring in come class to his back-line this summer transfer window, there has been some speculation in the media that he could make a move for Boateng.

Boateng, who spent one season at Manchester City before joining Bayern in 2011, was linked with a move to Arsenal in January, but the Gunners could not get a deal done and in the end he decided to stay with Bayern.

However, he has not opened the door to a possible move to the Emirates during the transfer window after admitting that he would not turn down a move to the Premier League if an offer came in

The German defender said on BILD: “I wouldn’t say no. I love watching the Premier League and I loved playing in it while I was there.

“For me, it was really unlucky because I was injured straightaway and then I didn’t play in the position they promised.

“I’m definitely down for it, it’s one of my favourite leagues, but I don’t know for the future. You never know… it’s not that I would never play there again, absolutely not.”

Former Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray says Wilfried Zaha would have been the ‘perfect fit’ for Arsenal.

Arsenal were heavily linked with an £80 million move for Zaha last season after he had another impressive season with Palace, and it seemed that he was open to the idea of making that move to the Emirates.

However, in a shock move that surprised many Arsenal fans, the board decided against making the move for a proven Premier League star and instead made the club record £72 million signing of Nicolas Pepe, who has been a flop since his move to London.

And with rumours that Zaha could be on the market in the summer window, Brighton striker Murray believes it is finally time for the Ivory Coast international to move on and can’t believe that the Gunners didn’t make a move for him last summer, and instead opted to sign Nicolas Pepe.

‘Palace fans aren’t going to thank me for saying this but yeah, I think he needs to go, I think he needs to flourish,’ Murray told talkSPORT

‘I was really surprised that Arsenal didn’t go for him last year and decided to go for Nicolas Pepe.

‘I feel as though he probably would have been a slightly cheaper option and an option that knows the league very well.

‘I think staying in London would be good for him as well, he’s a real London boy and I just think he would have been the perfect fit [at Arsenal].

‘It baffled me why they didn’t go for him.’

Chelsea believe Willian will join Arsenal on a free transfer this summer – following on from the two teams meeting in Saturday’s FA Cup final.

Chelsea surprised many in the media over the past few days by completing an early deal to bring Hakim Ziyech to the premier League next season for a small fee of £37 million, with many believing that he is the immediate replacement for the ageing Willian, who has been linked with a move away from the club.

There has been talk that he could be leaving in the transfer window as reports in the media have suggested that Chelsea may not be willing to offer him a the new contract he wants because of his age, and may be willing to let him leave the club on a free transfer, with the likes of Juventus and Barcelona eyeing up a possible deal

However, there has been some reports in the media which have suggested that Arsenal are also keen to try and nail down his services, with boss Mikel Arteta seeking to add a bit more quality and experience to his side during the busy transfer period.

Now, According to The Guardian, Chelsea now anticipate him joining their rivals Arsenal after they could not agree a deal, with the reports suggesting that the Gunners are more willing to offer the Brazilian the length of contract that he wants to stay in England.

However, the reports also suggests that his massive £200,000-a-week wages may prove a stumbling for the Gunners, as they are trying to save money after the coronavirus outbreak hit the club financially hard.

Arsenal are reportedly interested in Norwich midfielder Todd Cantwell during the summer transfer window.

Arsenal have been in the transfer headlines alot over the past few months, and with the transfer window now officially open, it will mean that the Gunners will be linked with every player under the sun.

Butone name that has been linked with a £30 million move to the Emirates is that of Cantwell, as the young man has earned plenty of admirers with his performances this term. He has been a shining light for the rock-bottom club with seven goals and two assists, emerging as one of Daniel Farke’s most important players.

He is also being chased by the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United, who are reportedly ready to make a cheeky offer in the transfer window after being impressed by what they have seen by the man this season.

However, with funds tight at the Emirates and with Mikel Arteta looking to add a bit more creativity and quality to his midfield, The Sun claim the Emirates could be a destination for the 22-year-old.

It is believed that Arsenal are willing to pay that £30 million asking price that has been placed on the head of Cantwell, who many believe has the ability to be a top Premier League player in the coming seasons.

Look, there is no doubt that Cantwell has great ability and should be playing for a higher club than Norwich, so now the transfer window is open, it will not be a shock to see him stay in the top-flight.

But could he make that move to Arsenal? would he fit in to the style of the club? Would he made an impact on this Arsenal side?

There are so many questions about Cantwell, that signing could be seen as a risk by Arteta.
