Whats going on? Emery on Ramsey, Benatia offer, Carrasco update in latest Arsenal transfer and gossip

There’s been a lot of transfer talk and rumours surrounding Arsenal this month. If you’re wondering where we stand at the moment with all their potential deals, here’s the latest…

Arsenal boss Unai Emery says he respects Aaron Ramsey’s decision to move to Juventus at the end of the season.

Ramsey has been at the Emirates for over a decade now and has played well over 350 times for the Gunners, but greed seemed to get the best of him after reports emerged which suggested he wanted a deal closer to the one that Mesut Ozil signed, rather than the £220,000-a-week Arsenal were prepared to offer.

And in the end Arsenal and Ramsey decided to part ways and now Ramsey has decdided to join Juventus, with reports he has agreed a massive £36 million deal to sign for the Italian Champions.

“My idea and focus, I say to him every day, is with us,” he said.

“We need his performance for us. The last matches I am very happy with him. I asked him the last match if he’s ok to help us play, he said yes I want to play. He played with a big commitment to us.

“His future is individually for him, for his family, his agent. Every training day with us he is working very well and I want his focus to us from him the same on Saturday.

“I respect a lot his decision. I cannot say more than this situation. For me the most important (thing) is Ramsey with us. His future I respect a lot because it is a very private decision. But between him with us everyday, I am very happy with him now.”

Unai Emery has reportedly decided to sanction a transfer bid for Yannick Carrasco after Arsenal were offered the chance to sign the Belgium international

Despite spending over £70 million in the summer transfer window, Gunners boss Unai Emery is still keen to splash the cash over the next few transfer windows and keep improving his side, and Carrasco is reportedly on his shopping list.

The former Atletico Madrid star caused controversy nine months ago when he decided to join Dalian Yifang alongside teammate Nicolas Gaitan in big-money moves.

However, Carrasco is reportedly on the lookout for a club in Europe and Arsenal, who have been linked with a move for the winger since 2016, are ready to swoop in and try to bring him to England for a bargain fee.

The report on Foot Mercato claim Emery has responded favourably to the opportunity to sign Carrasco and a formal bid is expected ‘in the coming days’.

Emery already has a number of attackers and midfielders to pick from in his squad, but with Aaron Ramsey all set to join Juventus this month, the Spanish boss knows he needs an immedite replacement for the gifted Welshman.

However, Manchester United are reportedly also in the chase for Carrasco and are reportedly also preparing an offer to bring the midfielder back to European football.

Fresh reports have again claimed Arsenal have submitted a £35m bid for Roma star Cengiz Under.

Under has been in impressive form for Roma this season, scoring six goals and providing six assists and his performances for the Italian giants have reportedly linked him with a move to the premier League despite the fact he has a contract until 2022.

Gunners boss Unai Emery already has an array of talent in his midfield, but with with Aaron Ramsey seemingly on his way to Juventus, the Spanish boss will have a hole to fill when the Welshman finally leaves.

His displays have seen him linked with a move to the Premier League despite being under contract with the Serie A side until 2022.

And according to reports on the Daily Mirro website, Arsenal have submitted a £35 million offer to try and secure a deal for Under this month, with the player staying until the end of the season.

However, Roma are in no mood to sell and have swiftly rejected the offer as they believe the midfielder will not be sold in the coming transfer windows.

Reports have claimed Arsenal have submitted an offer to sign unhappy Juventus star Mehdi Benatia this January.

Benatia is rated very highly across Europe as one of the most solid central defenders in Europe, and has been on the radar of a number of Premier League sides for the last few seasons, but a deal could simply not be done as he did not want to leave Juventus.

The defender was very happy at the Seria A Champions and it seemed that Juventus were more than happy to keep hold, but that all seems to be changing this season as Benatia has seen his game time limited.

And amid more speculation the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea are ready to reignite their interest this coming January transfer window, Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira, the Gunners, along with Schalke, have submitted an offer to the 31-year-old’s entourage.

Schira’s tweet translates to: “Mehdi’s entourage #Benatia has received proposals from #Arsenal and #Schalke last few weeks: the Moroccan Central was ready to evaluate them, but for the #Juventus in January it is jam-able. In the summer instead probable the farewell #calciomercato”

Benatia admitted earlier in the season he would consider if his game time did not imporve, telling the CalcioMercato website: “I struggle to play with no consistency. I was doing well last season because I was playing on a regular basis. Now it’s not the same. This is my job and I always need to work hard to be ready to play but it’s a situation I don’t like.”
