Inter Milan sensation Cesare Casadei’s move to Chelsea has been confirmed by Italian journalist Fabizio Romano
Chelsea was expected to make some big transfer signings this summer that would see a couple of defenders – a midfielder and a striker all make the move to Stamford Bridge
But despite all the speculation and all the rumours – Chelsea have only managed to secure the services of Marc Cucurella – Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly – which has improved the squad – but not enough
And that now means that ChelseaFC will need to delve into the transfer kitty over the remaining weeks of the transfer window and do some more business – and Casadei is a player they are keen on
The midfielder has registered 39 goals and eight assists in 104 appearances for various Inter youth sides throughout the years – but has not yet been able to make an appearance at the senio ranks
But the Chelsea scouts have been keeping a very close eye on the potential and were ready to complete a move for the lad – and if you believe the words of Fabrizio Romano – a deal has now been confirmed
The Blues will pay Inter Milan £16.8m including add-ons for the midfielder, according to Fabrizio Romano.
And he’ll pen a six-year deal with the Blues if his medical is successful in the coming days
