Lampard wants Jorginho, Cavani speaks out, Chelsea interested in Coutinho, Rivaldo, Pulisic on Sancho, Koulibaly exit in Chelsea news..
Chelsea target Kalidou Koulibaly has confirmed his intention to leave Napoli this summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
here have been some reports in the media suggesting that Chelsea are planning for potential new signings in this coming transfer window, as they seek to improve the side.
It will mean that Frank Lampard will be able to delve into the clubs transfer kitty and add a few players to the squad that will add some experience, and quality in the right areas of the pitch, and one name that will be high up on the shopping list of the Blues boss is that of Kouliably, who is easily regarded as one of the finest central defenders in Seria A, and around Europe.
Koulibaly has been outstanding for Napoli over the past few seasons and his performances has attracted all sorts of interest from the games biggest clubs, with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and even Barcelona all joining Chelsea in the chase for the defenders signature.
Now the Italian report suggested that Koulibaly has told Napoli of his intentions to depart the club when the summer transfer window opens up and knows that offers will arrive from the Premier League.
However, he will not come cheap in the transfer window as the Italian outlet also reports that Napoli will require a fee of £88.5million for the 28-year-old’s services.
Look, WE ARE ALWAYS saying that Chelsea need to add a world class defender to that back-line to give them a bit of leadership at the back, so the reports that he has now decided to leave will be great news for clubs like Chelsea.
Rivaldo believes Chelsea are still interested in signing Philippe Coutinho despite the Brazilian suffering an ankle injury which required surgery,
The Premier League may only be a few weeks from resuming after the government opened the door to a June return, but there is still alot of transfer speculation about just where Coutinho will end up during the summer window.
Bayern have decided not to keep him after his loan spell, Barcelona are seemingly set of letting him leave in order to raise some transfer funds, and reports have suggested that Chelsea are the club that are keen on him most.
Willian is leaving Chelsea during the summer window after failing to agree a new contract with the club and Frank Lampard knows that he needs to bring in an adequate replacement for the Brazilian star.
And now Rivaldo has claimed that Chelsea are still interested in signing the midfielder during the summer, despite his injury.
Coutinho was due to return to action for Bayern Munich when the Bundesliga resumes this weekend but the 27-year-old is likely to be ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery.
‘Chelsea are the favourites to sign Coutinho and I don’t believe they will be put off by his recent injury,’ Goal.com reports.
‘After all, next season is still very distant and he will have enough time to a completely recover.’
Added Rivaldo, who won the Ballon d’Or in 1999: ‘I still believe Coutinho has the quality to succeed, but sometimes football is tough and volatile.
‘The misfortune you might have at one moment can be overcome, so Coutinho must keep calm and be confident about the future because he has lots of quality to shine at any club.
‘This is a delicate moment for him and he must stay positive that things will turn for the better soon.’
Christian Pulisic has drawn comparisons between himself and his Jadon Sancho, with reports he could be heading to Chelsea in the summer.
Sancho is easily regarded as one of the finest talents in the game right now and has been constantly linked with a move to the Premier League, where the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United are waiting to snap him up.
Chelsea will be losing Willian in just a few weeks time after he failed to agree a new deal, and all reports have suggested that Lampard feels Sancho is the man to come in and fill that void at Chelsea next season.
Now, amid all the speculation linking the star to the Premier League, Speaking to Sky Sports, Pulisic lauded Sancho, who has made a name for himself at the Bundesliga club since he joined them from Manchester City in 2017.
‘He was given an opportunity, just like I was, at a very high level, and they [Borussia Dortmund] show you right away that they trust you and they’re going to give an equal opportunity to all the players,’ said Pulisic.
‘He’s done an amazing job since he came in and has obviously shown what abilities he has.’
In quoting the American, the Express goes on to suggest that Chelsea and Manchester United are leading contenders to sign Sancho this summer with the Blues holding the edge in the race to snap up the 20-year-old London native.
‘The Blues are already thought to have an advantage over the Red Devils with Sancho believed to be a boyhood Chelsea fan and eager for a return to his home city,’ states the paper.
As we have said before, the whole world is gripped by the Coronavirus outbreak that is stopping everything from running smoothly, killing thousands and stopping us from enjoying the game we love on a weekly basis.
But that has not stopped speculation in the media about possible incomings and out-goings in the summer transfer window, with a number of world class players linked with a move to Chelsea and a number of fringe players linked with a move away.
Chelsea may have the likes of Tammy Abraham up top, but there is alot of speculation that the likes of Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi may leave the club in the summer, meaning that Chelsea will need to find an adequate replacement.
Now, amid all the speculation, he has spoken out about his future on the PSG magazine: “My career will last for maybe several years still, here or elsewhere, I don’t know,” he said.
“I’ve spoken about it a lot with my entourage. I’ve always said that I would like to quit football rather than football quitting me. “I’d really like to finish having given everything. To get to that point where I’d say, ‘Guys, this is the point where I have to go.’
“I don’t want life to lead me to play when I wouldn’t be capable of giving my best. The day will come where it will be obvious that the time’s come to move on to something else.”
Cavani may not be the same striker that he was just a few seasons ago, but the man is still world class and if there is a chance to get him on the books, Chelsea should definitely take it.
Frank Lampard wants Jorginho to stay at Chelsea and is indifferent about the prospect of Miralem Pjanic arriving at Stamford Bridge.
After a stuttering first season under Maurizio Sarri last season, in which the Italian star failed to impress on many of his outings in a Blues shirt, Jorginho has become an integral part of Frank Lampards’ season this year and has seemingly won the Blues fans round with his impressive performances.
However, the Italy international has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus, where he would be reunited with Maurizio Sarri for the third time in his career, as the former Chelsea boss is keen to be reignited with the man that he had so much success at Napoli with
Reports suggested Juve would offer up Federico Bernardeschi once the window opens up in hopes of agreeing a player exchange deal, and Jorginho was reportedly open to moving to Italy, due to his relationship with Sarri,
But that move away has been played down by the player, Chelsea and the players agent over the past few weeks and all indications suggested that he would still be at Chelsea when next season starts.
However, according to The National, Juve are in the midst of hashing out a deal with the Chelsea ace’s entourage and talks about a £35 million move back to Serie A has been talked about.
But Jorginho, 28, has been a regular in Frank Lampard’s Chelsea side this season and ESPN FC say the Blues legend will resist approaches for his signature, even if they were offered the chance to sign Jorginho.
Jorginho may not have had the best of starts to life at Stamford Bridge when he arrived and many thought that he would not be good enough to play in the Premier League, but he has looked like a different player this season and is a top-class player.
Frank Lampard seems to be happy with him and Chelsea fans have grown to love him, so it will come as a massive shock to many fans to see that talks have reportedly been opened about a summer transfer.
However, this is just speculation and there is a long way to go before the window opens up, meaning that there will continue to be alot more turns and twists in the future of Jorginho at Chelsea.
Jorginho is seemingly happy at Chelsea NOW, and the only way that he would leave is if the Blues decided that he is no longer needed, but considering Lampard is happy with the midfielder, that is not the case.
Why would they sell a player that has been such a big part of the side?
