Wow! Manchester United star ‘would have been a good option’ for Liverpool fans told

Manchester United star Edinson Cavani would have been a good signing for Liverpool, claimed Steve Nicol.

Cavani shocked many in the world of football over the transfer window when he decided to leave PSG on a free deal in order to seek one more big challenge in the game, and in the end, it was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that convinced him to make the move to the Premier League.

The new Manchester United front-man is PSG’s record goal-scorer with 200 goals in 301 games, and many believe that he will struggle to score gaols with Manchester United this season and beyond.

He is not the same player that he once was and is coming towards the very end of his playing days in the game, but despite the fact he has struggled to make much of an impact at United, Nicol has opened up and suggested that he would have been a good option for Liverpool.

Liverpool may have one of the best attacks in world football, but they dont really have many options on the bench if things are not going right, and Nicol has claimed that Cavani would have been a good option for Jurgen Klopp to have.

The former Liverpool ace told ESPN: “Edinson Cavani is a good option coming off the bench for any team.

“I wouldn’t have had a problem if Liverpool had signed Cavani for coming off the bench with 20 minutes to go.”

Cavani would have offered Liverpool something different, but there is a reason why Klopp didnt make a move and that is because he never believed Cavani would offer his side something.

United have him, but fans would have liked to see a younger striker arrive?
