Lampard on possible £60m arrival, Chelsea agree massive deal, striker ‘will be electric signing’, Isco can join for £59 million
Here is a roundup of the latest Chelsea news from icfootballnews.com
Frank Lampard has opened up about the possible January signing of Boubarkary Soumare for Chelsea.‘
The 20-year-old has had an outstanding campaign with fifth-placed Lille in Ligue 1 and is widely regarded as one of the most promising young midfielders in Europe, and his performances have also meant the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea are interested in a possible deal
Soumare was discovered by Lille sporting director Luis Campos, the man who helped unearth the likes of Anthony Martial, Fabinho, James Rodriguez, Kylian Mbappe and Bernardo Silva during his time at Monaco.
It is believed that CHELSEAReports have claimed Real Madrid will let Isco leave for a club like Chelsea if they meet the £59 million asking price.
Since the news broke in the media over the past few weeks revealing that Chelsea WILL NOW BE ABLE TO SIGN players during the January transfer window, there has been a lot of transfer speculation in the media about whom the Blues could make a move for.
It is no secret that Frank Lampard has one of the most exciting sides in the Premier League, but there is a big feeling around the media that he needs to spend some serious money in order to add some experienced, world class talent to his very young side.
And that has led to ALOT of reports in the media suggesting that Isco is high up on the shopping list, as the Spaniard is reportedly unhappy with his game time at the Bernabeu, especially since he is now in the prime of his footballing career.
According to Spanish publication El Desmarque says that Los Blancos offered the Spaniard to CHELSEA at the end of 2019 for £44million (€52m), hoping to fund a move for Christian Eriksen with the fee, but although a deal could not be agreed then, Florentino Perez now wants at least £59m (€70m) for the player and will let him leave if that asking price is met.
Isco is a top-class player that has tons of ability and signing him would be a real statement of intent from Lampard, and considering there is a lot of transfer speculation in the media about the future of William, who else would be better that Isco to come in and help replace the Brazilian.
Paul Merson has told Frank Lampard that Edinson Cavani would be electric for Chelsea.
There has been a lot of speculation in the media over the last few days all suggesting that Chelsea will be wrapping up a late January deal to acquire the services of Cavani a loan deal until the ned of the season.
The striker, who has netted 198 goals for PSG, has already handed in a transfer request this window as he seeks to leave the club, and would reportedly cost Chelsea £5 million to loan until the end of the season.
And amid all the transfer speculation, Merson has come out and told the club that the signing of Cavani would benefit the blues, telling the Metro:‘I know his wages are big and he’s not getting any younger but this lad is a proper, proper player and he would be electric at Chelsea.
‘They are dominating games at the moment, playing on the edge of the opposition box all the time. Teams just drop off and park the bus.
‘West Ham sat back. Won 1-0. Newcastle sat back. Won 1-0. There’s something missing. CHELSEA don’t have the guile and they don’t have a world class finisher.
‘Now that Tammy Abraham is injured they need one. Even if he’s only out short term, it’s a lot to expect from him for the rest of the season.
‘Abraham has done really well and is going to be a good player but Cavani’s movement is second to none and he puts his head in. He’s fearless.
‘He could teach Tammy Abraham the game because I don’t think his movement is always that good.
‘The problem is, would Tammy Abraham worry that he’s back to square one if they bring another striker in, and then you lose a young player? You hope not because he’s still got a lot to learn.
Chelsea have officially confirmed that they have signed a deal to partner up with THREE.
the partnership brings together a Premier League football club and a premium brand in connectivity, with both aiming to build towards headline-grabbing success in 2020. It is, appropriately, for three years initially with Three’s logo to appear on all of Chelsea’s shirts from 2020/21, including Chelsea Women and Academy sides as well as our men’s team.
The deal is a significant one for Chelsea financially but it is also important our official partnerships are a good fit and our new shirt one with Three clearly is.
CHELSEA Football Club chief executive Guy Laurence explained ON THE CHELSEA WEBSITE: ‘Mobile technology has revolutionised the way football clubs and supporters interact with each other which makes Chelsea FC and Three such natural partners.
‘We have a social media following of over 100 million and the official app, The 5th Stand, has had nearly four million downloads. We stream live women’s and Academy football with men’s first team highlights available soon after matches. It truly is an area from which regular fans are benefitting and as communications technology develops in the coming years, Three will be at the forefront of the advances with the exciting roll out of 5G networks, helping to enhance and expand the experience of being a Chelsea supporter in the modern digital age.
‘With Three, we have found a partner, who share our passion for innovation and we are delighted to have them on board and on our shirts.’
Dave Dyson, CEO of Three UK, adds: ‘Chelsea FC is a great match for Three – we share the same values and are both playing to win. This partnership is a great way to kick off 2020, when we are building the UK’s fastest 5G network and Chelsea are building the best team.
‘Chelsea FC is many teams in one club – and it is important to us that this sponsorship covers not only the men’s team, but also the women’s and the Academy as well. Three UK has enough 5G spectrum to put us in the top 10 holdings in the world and give our customers the very best 5G service, and we want to be with the team that can drive that winning message over the next few years.’
Simply put, it may be the only deal that CHELSEA get done this window.
