Chairman officially tells Manchester United ‘If you want a superstar player you need to pay superstar money’

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has provided an update on Marc Guehi’s future, and given the likes of Manchester United the chance to try and get a transfer deal done in the coming days.

There is alot of speculation surrounding the players that Erik Ten hag will look to sign during the rest of the summer, especially as they will be one of the favourites to beat Man City for that title.

And here are still some rumours in the media which have claimed that Manchester United and Tottenham are both ready to battle it out with Newcastle United for the signature of Guehi.

It is no secret that The Toon are keen to sign the defender – they have been working on a potential deal for the last few weeks – but Newcastle have been unable to wrap up a deal for the defender and now clubs have been put on alert.

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has provided an update on Marc Guehi’s future and claimed that if any club are willing to meet their asking price – they will get the England star – Parish told Sky Sports News: “Nobody has got to the valuation yet. If you want a superstar player you need to pay superstar money.

“It’s not near the point where we have to make a decision. He’s a generational talent.”

It would be interesting to see if he could handle the pressure of playing for one of the big clubs in the Premier League.

But do Man United still need the man? we do not think so.
