Champions tells Chelsea they can sign 36-goal star for £60M-before add ons
Manchester City will demand at least £60 million before add-ons for Chelsea linked Julian Alvarez this summer.
With CHELSEA looking to add a new striker to that attack over the next few months – there has been some shock reports that the Blues could make a move for Alvarez at some point this transfer window.
Despite being a big part of that Man City side – it has been claimed that Alvarez wants more game time at the club and would be open to a move away if Pep Guardiola cannot give him what he wants.
However – it seemed that Man City will not be selling the striker this summer as Guardiola did not want to see the forward depart the club – but the Athletic claims that the Argentine forward has ‘shocked’ the English champions with his demands after only joining in 2022.
The report claims that City would not stand in Alvarez’s way but are demanding a £60m transfer fee, plus a further £17m in add-ons. But It’s also claimed that Alvarez and his family would prefer to live in a warmer climate than Manchester.
He could be a great signing according to reporter Iomie Stanley – he told icfootballnews: ‘He is a very good striker – a very good option to come off the bench – he could be that player CHELSEA needs to bang in goals on a weekly basis – his movement and work rate would suit the style of Enzo Maresca.
‘There are many people out there that believe the best thing for him right now is to stay put – it could be a mistake to move away from arguably one of the best sides in the game right now – but he wants to play and be the main man, he could be that at Chelsea.
‘So if the reports are true and he has asked for a move away from Man City – Chelsea would be massive fools to not make an offer for the striker that is for sure.’
