Chelsea have been told 23-goal Lukaku replacement will cost £100Million

Roma have slapped a £100million asking price on star striker Tammy Abraham, amid reports that Chelsea are considering making a move at the end of the current season and tempting him back to the Premier League

The Blues made the big decision in the summer to offload their academy graduate to Jose Mourinho in favour of using the £34million plus more to re-sign Lukaku, who established himself as the most dangerous striker in Italian football.

But his move has not quite worked out as mixed success with the infamous Sky Italia interview and his FIFA Club World Cup adventure telling the Belgian’s story so far on his Stamford Bridge homecoming.

He has not scored the goals that Thomas Tuchel would have liked and there has been alot of speculation in the media suggesting that the German boss is keen to bring in another forward.

Whilst Lukaku himself is still working to try and adapt to Thomas Tuchel’s system in west London, Chelsea’s former number 9 has been thriving on the continent under a manager that wants him to become a ‘monster’ in front of goal

The England international scored two more in Sunday’s derby with Lazio to take his tally to 23 for the season, and And now the Serie A club are attempting to ward off interested parties by placing a huge price tag on the forward.

The Mail suggest that Chelsea have a buy-back option of £67million – but that doesn’t come into effect until next year – meaning that they would have to pay that £100 million asking price if they wanted to get a transfer deal done

Abraham has four years to run on his current deal with Roma

IcFootballnews View….

Abraham really has developed into a class striker over in Italian football and many Chelsea fans believed he could have led that attack, before he left, so after seeing him net 23 goals this season, they will surely believe that now.

However, a move back to the Bridge may not be the best idea as we have seen what it has done to Lukaku’s career.

He may well come back to the Premier League, at some point, but guys, why would he right now?
