Chelsea and Milan to do €20 million deal in January as £100k-a-week star free to leave

It has been claimed that AC Milan are looking to do a January deal with Chelsea for Hakim Ziyech after the Blues decided that he is free to leave in the winter

Ziyech joined Chelsea in a £33m move from Ajax back in 2020 and in 87 appearances for the club he has managed 14-goals

However – despite some impressive performances at Stamford Bridge – Ziyech has never really hit the heights that prompted the Blues to make a move for him just a couple of seasons ago – and he has struggled to make any real impact

There was alot of speculation over the summer that he would be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge – with a number of clubs interested – but despite all the speculation and all the rumours – he was forced to stay put

But the early signs are that he does not feature prominently in new manager Graham Potter’s plans – especially as the former Brighton boss is eyeing up a number of possible signings in the coming windows

Now – after reports emerged in the media over the weekend that Chelsea will allow Ziyech to leave in the January window – Reports on the goal website have claimed that AC Milan are now interested in doing a deal with the Blues

Milan have wanted Ziyech since the summer window – but were unable to do a deal then as former boss Thomas Tuchel didnt really want him to depart the club

The reports adds that The Serie A champions are ready to sign the Moroccan, who will probably cost less than €20 million.

Look – Ziyech is a very gifted winger – and can be world class on his day – but he is just not a Graham Potter type player

If Milan are looking to sign him we are sure Chelsea will be ready to let him go – and will use the funds to help bring in a new player or two
