CHO confident! Forget it Liverpool and Man United as £60m sensation Odoi to sign £85,000-a-week Chelsea deal

Reports have claimed Chelsea are hopeful that teenage sensation Callum Hudson-Odoi will sign a new long-term contract at Stamford Bridge.

Hudson-Odoi has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons over the past few months as his impressive performances for both club and country have been dominated by transfer talk that he is all set to leave the club at the end of the season, after failing to get the kind of game time that he wants under Maurizio Sarri.

Sarri has used the talented 18-year old sparingly in the Premier League this season as the winger has only made five appearances, with the Italian boss preferring to use Hudson-Odoi in the domestic cup competitions and the Europa League, where he has netted four goals for the Blues.

That has led to a lot of speculation that the likes of Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Manchester United are all prepared to offer him a way out of Stamford Bridge in the summer on a cheap deal, especially since his current Chelsea contract runs out at the end of next season, allowing him to leave for free next summer.

However, The Independent are claiming that a ‘previous impasse’ has now been resolved and Chelsea are more confident of keeping their sought-after talent at the club for the foreseeable future.

It is believed that Chelsea have offered Hudson-Odoi a deal worth around £85,000-a-week, a big increase on his current wage with the club.

Here is what we think.

Hudson-odoi may not be getting the kind of game time that he desires, but he is only 18-years of age and Sarri is trying to bring him into the squad slowly, as rushing him may hinder his development.

He is getting the game time he needs and with the club facing a transfer ban, he may become an integral part of the side next season, so if reports are true and he is all set to sign a new deal, it will be fantastic for the club.
