‘come-and get-me Chelsea! Lampard issued plea by trophy-laiden Brazilian superstar Alves
Brazil great and long-term Chelsea target Dani Alves has taken to social media to offer a come-get-me plea to any of his potential suitors.
The PSG right-back has played for a number of Europe’s top clubs, including Barcelona and Juventus, and has still shown over the last few seasons that he is still able to compete at the very highest level on a consistent basis.
He has been long linked with a move to the Premier League, with reports suggesting Chelsea even tried to make a move way before he eventually signed for the French Champions Just a few seasons ago.
And the Blues were reportedly interested in offering a deal to Alves this transfer window, with Frank Lampard looking to add some much needed top-level experience to the squad, but are unable to offer any kind of deal as they simply cannot buy any new players for a couple of transfer windows.
But now he has taken to social media to try and tempt one of his potential suitors into offering him a summer contract.
Alongside a picture of himself, Alves wrote on Instagram: “Looking for a job, where do I put my CV? Someone let me know if you have time to read it.”
Alves was once the best right back in world football and there were not too many players out there that could compete with the Brazilian, but he is now 36-years of age and coming towards the back-end of his career.
So if Lampard needed an experienced right-back to come in and help keep the bench warm then Alves could be good, But if he doesnt get the game time he wants, then he could cause some trouble. So maybe the fact that Chelsea couldn’t make a move is a blessing in disguise as the Brazilian could have been a signing that would have damaged Lampards chances of succeeding as boss of Chelsea.
However, it will be interesting to see just where he ends up as the Brazilian has been linked with a number of top Premier League sides.
