Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you may have missed –

Chelsea and AC Milan are back in talks over a transfer deal for Ruben Loftus-Cheek

It will be all change for Chelsea over the course of the transfer window as a number of players will be departing the club – and a few more added to the side.

And Loftus-Cheek has been a player that been linked with a move away from the club for some time.

He has made a total of 155 appearances since making his first team debut – registering 13 goals and 18 assists – and has also spent time out on loan at Premier League clubs Crystal Palace and Fulham.

But Loftus-Cheek could now be set to join former Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori at AC Milan in Serie A, according to transfer news Live – Milan are in talks over a deal for Loftus-Cheek.

The Blues need to raise funds from player sales to trim their bloated squad and finance incoming manager Mauricio Pochettino’s summer rebuild.

Their recruitment team believe their British players will generate the most revenue while also dramatically slashing their wage bill.

Loftus-Cheek had the ability to be one of the worlds very best players – he really had everything to be a success.

But he could never really make it at CHELSEA and maybe this move is best for him – he will be joining a top side and will experience the feel of Italian football.

There has been a few players leave for Italian football and reignite their careers – so Loftus-Cheek will be hoping that this move helps him fulfil his potential.

Koulibaly leaves –

Kalidou Koulibaly has thanked the CHELSEA fans for supporting him during his one season at Stamford Bridge after completing a move to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

Koulibaly was only signed by the Blues last summer in a deal that many believed was the perfect situation for Chelsea – as they needed a world class defender like the big man.

However – he has not made the impact that many had hoped for and now he has left the club only after one season.

The Blues have made roughly £20million from Koulibaly’s sale, and he failed to live up to expectations after joining from Napoli.

‘Kalidou Koulibaly has left Chelsea after completing a permanent transfer to Saudi Professional League side Al-Hilal,’ Chelsea said in a statement.

‘We would like to thank Kalidou for his contributions on and off the pitch during his time at Stamford Bridge and wish him well for the next stage of his career.’

And despite his struggles at Chelsea – he clearly enjoyed his time at Stamford Bridge.

Writing on his official Twitter account, he said: “From my first game to my last, it was an honour to wear this badge.

“Last season wasn’t the one we wanted, but I want to thank the fans and everyone at the club for your support.”

All the big players seem to want to go to Saudi Arabia right now – it is where the money is at.

CHELSEA are selling alot of players – so there will be many more announcements over the next couple of days – but it is a shame to see the big man leave Europe – he has had some big clubs after him over the last few weeks.

Richards statement –

CHELSEA have signed Jamaica international Dujuan ‘Whisper’ Richards after confirming the move on the club website.

The Blues have one of the best acadamies in the game and are constantly buying some of the best talents around in hope that they can turn into real stars.

Earlier this month, Chelsea announced the signing of 16-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder Kendry Paez – The teenager will join from Independiente del Valle when he turns 18 in May 2025 for a fee worth in the region of £17.5m

And now they have completed the deal for Richards.

A club statement read: “A prolific goalscorer at youth level, Richards was handed his senior international debut earlier this year against Trinidad & Tobago.

“Richards’ first start for his country came three days later against the same opposition and he completed 90 minutes against Qatar earlier this month.

‘Richards has also been selected by Jamaica for the upcoming Gold Cup.

“Born in Port Royal, the young forward has developed into a full international at the Phoenix Allstars Football Academy, which he joined at the age of 11.

“He has experience of facing English opposition at youth level and at the 2022 Manning Cup, an Under-19 competition regarded as Jamaica’s most prestigious youth tournament, Richards, representing Kingston College, scored 31 goals and registered 19 assists.”
