Chelsea have signed France winger Sandy Baltimore, and the former PSG star is delighted with the move to the WSL giants.

Baltimore made her PSG debut in 2016 and has won one French league title, three French cups and made 43 Women’s Champions League appearances.

The forward has agreed a four-year contract after leaving PSG, where she made over 200 appearances after Chelsea made the decision to try and bring her to the WSL in order to improve the squad for the upcoming season.

And Speaking on her move from Paris to London, Baltimore said: “I’m very happy to join CHELSEA. It feels incredible.

“I have always wanted to play for Chelsea and now look, it has happened!”

General manager Paul Green commented: ‘We are delighted to bring Sandy to Chelsea. She is an exciting wide player who will give more balance to the squad, adding another naturally left footed player.

‘Sandy has gained a wealth of experience in France including within the UEFA Women’s Champions League and will bring more competition to the squad. We are looking forward to seeing her in Chelsea blue.’

CHELSEA have been doing alot of deals over the past few weeks and many will be happy to see that a top player like Baltimore has now been signed by the club as the player will bring alot of quality to the side.

She is already proven at the top of the womens game and will be joining the best side in the WSL – so she will need to make sure that her levels are what they have been over the last few seasons.

GOLDING COMPLETES MOVE –

CHELSEA Academy graduate Michael Golding has completed a permanent transfer to Premier League side Leicester City.

He said after joining the Foes: “I’m so excited to be here,” Golding revealed in his interview upon signing for the Foxes. “I’m looking forward to making leaps and bounds in my career here at Leicester and working hard to hopefully have a good season in the Premier League.

“I’m looking to get more experience this season and be a big player for the team. I’m really looking forward to playing for the Foxes at King Power Stadium in the Premier League, it’s really a dream come true.”

“Obviously the history of the Club speaks for itself, there’s great players here and legends of game such as Jamie Vardy. I’m just looking to soak up as much information as I can from the senior players, to learn from the staff and hopefully have a great season.

“I’m excited to break into the First Team and play with these players. I’m buzzing to meet the lads and hopefully I can get involved and get ready for the season as well and improve on the pitch with the team.”

“I can’t wait to get started with training and learning from the Manager,” the youngster expressed. “I’m very excited to learn from Steve Cooper, given some of the players that he’s worked with and his track record of working with young players.

“I’m just ready to get started under him and take as much information as I can to improve in my career. I spoke to him a day ago and he’s really given me confidence just to be myself and show my ability on the pitch when I’m here, so that I can help the team as much as I can.”

CUCURELLA STAYING –

Marc Cucurella has admitted that he is not looking to leave Chelsea this summer despite suggestions that he could be one of several players sold by the club in the coming months.

Cucurella has made 59 appearances for Chelsea over the last two season and is yet to win any silverware with the club. His current contract, which he signed upon arrival in west London, runs through to the summer of 2028

But there has been some speculation in the media that he could be one of the players that the CHELSEA board allow to leave this transfer window  -and a move back to La Liga as been mooted in the Spanish press over the past few weeks.

However – Cucurella appears reinvigorated by the challenge of playing under new manager Enzo Maresca and is not even entertaining the idea of a future switch to La Liga, where he played as a youngster.

“La Liga is my home, but I’m very happy in England,” he said when speaking ahead of Spain’s semi-final against France on Tuesday. “Which is a great experience for me and my family.”

Speaking of his relationship with Chelsea target Nico Williams, Cucurella added, “The chemistry is based off the field.

“We found it without looking for it. We have similar personalities, happy people. Let him invent, I’ll be there for whatever is needed.”

Cucurella may be saying this now – but we are sure that if Barcelona do make an official offer this summer – he would find it very difficult not to entertain an offer.

But it is great news that he does want to stay because he has been very impressive for Spain during these last few weeks of the Euros.
