Chelsea have been signing some of the most exciting players in the game over the last couple of transfer windows and have already done alot of business this summer window.

The board have a long-term plan for the club and that is why the likes of Gabriel Santos – Kendry Paez and now Moreira are all coming to Stamford Bridge for the forseeable future.

Chelsea posted on the club website: ‘The winger, whose father Almami was a Guinea-Bissau international, joined Benfica from Standard Liege in 2020 and played an important role in the club’s 2022 UEFA Youth League triumph. The 18-year-old grabbed two assists in the final, which saw Salzburg defeated 6-0.

‘Moreira featured regularly for Benfica B last term having already made his senior debut. That came against Pacos de Ferreira in May 2022.

The lad is obviously a talent and definitely one for the future – but we are not sure that he is a player that Mauricio Pochettino has actually asked for – meaning that he will probably not have much of a future at the Blues.

It is a massive move for the lad to make – and we could be wrong – but the plan for the lad is unclear and he is definitely not a signing that will help the Blues win some trophies next season – or even the season after that.

This just may not be the right move for him to make right now You Know!?
