Chelsea announcement coming as £33M star flying in to complete medical and move!
It has been claimed that Conor Gallagher is on his way to Spain to complete a move away from Chelsea and join Atletico Madrid.
Gallagher was one of the players that Mauricio Pochettino relied on the most over the course of his stay at Stamford Bridge – and the midfielder rarely let the side down with his hard-working performances.
He has captained the team several times with Reece James being sidelined for large parts of the season – But there has been alot of transfer speculation in the media that he is one player that CHELSEA are very much open to letting leave the club this transfer window – with the likes of Tottenham and West Ham reportedly interested in a deal.
But now it seems that he is heading to La Liga as Spanish outlets have stated Atletico will pay just over £33million for the English midfielder, whose contract was set to expire next summer
But Gallagher was not sure about joining the Spanish just until the deadline was given by Madrid to get a deal done – and he has now accepted that move to the Spanish giants.

Gallagher was very solid for CHELSEA last season and to be honest – the club would be massive fools to let him depart Stamford Bridge over the next few weeks.
We believe that he should stay and be given another season to prove himself at the club – but if the reports are true and he is closing in on a move to Madrid – it will be a great experience for the midfielder.
And in that Spanish League – he could really develop into a top-class star and show Chelsea just what they missed out on if he leaves.
