Powerful midfielder Bakayoko to get his move as Chelsea ‘are in advanced talks’ to wrap up deal
Tiemoue Bakayoko is in advanced talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a £30million move from Chelsea, reports have claimed.
The powerful midfielder was signed by Chelsea just a few seasons ago in hope that he could help protect that back-line and give Chelsea just a little something different in the centre of midfield.
However, despite his chances, he failed to make any impact at Chelsea and was ultimately shipped out on-loan for the 2019-18 season, as Italian giants AC Milan decided to give him a chance.
But that move did not work out and he ended up making the loan move to Monaco for last season, where has has impressed at times and is keen to secure a permanent transfer move to the Capital.
Now Le10Sport claims the midfielder has no future at Stamford Bridge and Frank Lampard is ready to cash in, with the reports going on to suggest that Chelsea are in talks about a £30 million deal with the French giants.
Frank Lampard knows that he may need to sell a few fringe players in the summer window in order to get the players that he wants to help take the club forward, and £30 million should go along way into bringing a few fresh players into the side.
Bakayoko was never a good fit for Chelsea and they made a mistake by acquiring his services, but if he desires that move to Monaco, then the Blues should make sure that this deal happens as he is finished at Stamford Bridge.
Lampard is no fool and knows that he needs to add players to the side that will get the Chelsea fans talking, other teams worried and players that will make an immediate impact on the side.
So despite the Coronavirus hitting the clubs hard, it should be a very exciting summer for Chelsea as they will surely get spending and trying to sign the players that will help close the gap on the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.
Bakayoko definitely needs to go, there is no doubt about that!
