Move over Eddie – £80k-a-week star wants to join Potter at Chelsea!
It has been claimed that Chelsea will beat off Newcastle for the signature in Brighton star Leandro Trossard
Trossard has made 13 appearances for the Seagulls so far this season and In those outings he has scored seven goals and provided three assists.
There has been alot of speculation about his future at the club and where he could end up – with Newcastle and Chelsea both in the hunt to try and get a £35 million deal done – if you believe the reports
Graham Potter is looking to add a bit more quality and goal-threat to his squad – while Eddie Howe knows that he needs to add some more depth to the squad in hope of getting Champions League football this season
But amid all the speculation that both clubs are ready to battle it out for Trossard – Alan Hutton has opened up and claimed the Belgian is likely to choose the Stamford Bridge club to link back up with his former boss
When asked who would have the edge in January, Hutton told Football Insider: “I would lean towards Chelsea because of Graham Potter.
“He knows the player well, you have got that link. So, the opportunity to go to a top club, where your previous manager is who knows you, knows how to get the best out of you.
“I think he would maybe lean towards that.“

Trossard has been brilliant this season there is no doubt about that and he would be a great signing for Newcastle or Chelsea.
There is alot of speculation about the future of Potter at Chelsea – and he may not get the seasons that he desires – which would mean that Trossard could fall down the pecking order when a new boss comes in
But at Newcastle – he would get alot more game time
So even though he may decide to join Chelsea – the better option may actually be Newcastle
