CHELSEA’s hierarchy have reportedly decided that they will have to get rid of Graham Potter if results continue to unimpressive

Potter is rated as one of the very best young managers in the Premier League and is a man that Chelsea have big hopes that will get the club back to challenging for that Premier League and Champions League again.

However – after a good start, Potter is already under fire and tipped to be the next Premier League boss sacked after the stunning home loss to Southampton at the weekend left them 10 points off that Champions League spot.

Recent reports have claimed that there is no change in Chelsea’s position as the club’s board are still backing Potter to turn things around.

However – according to fresh reports on the Football Insider wesbite, the board have now decided that they may now have to get rid of Potter if he is unab le to turn things around at Stamford Bridge

Potter, meanwhile, described Chelsea’s performance against Southampton as ‘a step back’ following their defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League earlier this week.

‘After a 1-0 defeat at home, any criticism you get is understandable,’ said the Chelsea manager.

‘I think we’ve had a tough period and I think we’ve had lots of challenges in terms of integrating young players into the Premier League. While results don’t go your way it can be tough, that is how it is.

‘I’m sure there will be people out there that think I’m the problem, absolutely. I don’t think they’re right but I’m not arrogant enough to say their opinion isn’t worth articulating.

‘My job is to help the team, keep working through a team period, we’ve had to make some changes today and the truth is we took a step back in our performance in the first half. The response in the second half was good, but it wasn’t good enough.’

Potter is a very good young manager that is at the wrong club, CHELSEA need an experienced manager that is able to cope with playing at the top level, he is not there yet.

There is alot of speculation that he is the next boss to be heading towards the sack, and honestly if he goes out that Champions League and loses a few more games, he is gone
