One of Europes best! Sarri has Chelsea message for impressing Bayern Munich target Odoi

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri has told Callum Hudson-Odoi he has the potential to be one of Europe’s best players.

The talented 18-year old has been in the headlines over the last few weeks with constant speculation that Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich are just one of a number of German clubs that are interested in trying to sign the lad.

It is believed that they have already had a number of bids rejected by the Blues, as they have hopes of developing the lad and having another Jadon Sancho on their hands.

Sarri said on the Sky Sports website: “He is a very good player, the potential is for becoming a great player, and now he has to improve.

“He has to improve I think in movement without the ball. As a winger, he has to improve in the defensive phase, but he has the potential to become a very important player, not only for English football I think but for European football.”

Will Odoi develop at Chelsea?

The 18-year old has bags of potential and it is easy to see why so many clubs are hoping to sign him up in the next month, but he has to be careful as the wrong decision could just see his career take a heavy nose dive.

He needs to stay at Chelsea and see how the next six months before deciding whether or not to leave, as Chelsea have a number or world class players that could stop him getting the game time he needs.

Sarri may think highly of Odoi, but it does not mean he will play him on a regular basis as he is eager to keep hold of his job and knows that instant success is what owner Roman Abramovic wants in the immediete seasons.
