Tomori is brilliant but £50 million world class act Skriniar would solve issues at Chelsea with January move to be made?
Milan Skriniar the perfect signing for Chelsea?
Chelsea should make a move for Milan Skriniar in January if their transfer ban gets lifted.
Chelsea are reportedly making contact with players’ agents as they plan for a busy January transfer window in the hope that their current ban is lifted, as the the Blues expect the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to cut short their transfer ban, which was imposed by FIFA in February.
It will mean that Lampard will be able to delve into the clubs transfer kitty and add a few players to the squad that will add some experience, and quality in the right areas of the pitch.
And one man that could be signed by Chelsea is that of Skriniar.
With Chelsea seeking a new defender to replace the departed David Luiz, Chelsea scouts have already been eyeing up a number of possible targets ahead of the January window..
He has show great ability on the ball, is relatively comfortable dealing with even the biggest strikers and has plenty of time to develop into a top-class defender in the coming seasons, and he could be a good signing at the £50 million he is valued at.
Despite his decent start to the new season, Frank Lampard knows that this current side is still not good enough to challenge for more than a top four spot and he will need to spend the money to improve a number of areas of the pitch to get the Blues back to the very top of the game.
The attack is ok, although another striker will also needed to be signed up by the club legend, but the back line will certainly need to be sorted out in the next coupld of windows.
If Chelsea do get this transfer ban shortened, it could be a very busy transfer window for Chelsea, as they do need to add some top-class players to the side in the coming windows.
And although it will take some serious money from the board, a move for a top-class defender like Skriniar to go alongside the talented defenders at the back would be the smart decision from the club to make to help this very exciting side progress to that next level.
So it will be interesting to see just whom arrives in the coming windows, as the Blues have a lot of work to do before they are serious contenders once again.
