Director OFFICIALLY tells Chelsea there may be chance to sign £300k-a-week star in January
Napoli director Mauro Meluso has opened up and told the likes of Chelsea that there may be a chance to sign Victor Osimhen when the January window opens up in just a few weeks time
Osimhen was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge over the course of the summer window, as CHELSEA were desperate to add a striker to their attack before the season started, many reports in the media suggested.
But despite all the rumours, despite all the speculation that he could be heading to Chelsea – Osimhen never made that move to London as his asking price was far too high and in the end, he ended up making a loan move to Galatasaray.
As for the Galatasaray move, Meluso says it was a decision forced by the circumstances, and admits there could be a deal done for Osimhen to head elsewhere come January.
He said: “It was a last-minute solution so he would not lose the first three months of the season. We will see in January.”

There is no doubt about it – Osimhen is one of the best strikers in Europe and a man that CHELSEA fans wanted to see arrive – so many were shocked when that switch to Galatasaray happened.
Osimhen moved because he wanted game time and that is what he is getting – Napoli would probably have loved to keep the player – but at the end of the day – he just wanted minutes.
And when the January transfer window opens up – there may be an opportunity for Chelsea to make a fresh move for the man – as they still need to sign a striker that can help Cole Palmer bang in the goals on a weekly basis.
What they have is simply not good enough for a massive club like them.
