Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed –

There has been some fresh reports in the media which have claimed that Chelsea are in talks over a deal for Pedro Lima

The Premier League seasons is not yet over for the Blues and they are still in with a chance of getting back into Europe and finishing the season off on a good note, which many did not expect just a few months ago.

But there has already been alot of transfer speculation in the media over the past few months that the Blues board are delving into their transfer kitty once again to bring in some of the best young players in the game.

Now –  According to Jornal Da Paraiba, Pedro Lima has continued to attract Chelsea’s interest ahead of the summer. The Blues are in contact with his agent, Renatinho Guimaraes, ahead of a possible transfer approach.

The report says that CHELSEA is eager to continue with their quest to bring the best of young talents to the club, with Todd Boehly & Co. likely to resume their transfer activity after the European Championships.

Another day and another talent linked with a move to Stamford Bridge that the club do not need to sign and may cost some serious money.

Lima may be impressing the scouts and showing alot of potential – but at the end of the day a move to Europe at this stage of his career does not need to happen and it would not make sense for him.

That Chelsea board need to be focusing in on signing players that could make an immediate impact at the club – that are proven in the game and that will help the club get back into the Champions League hunt.

Lima is not needed now – CHELSEA can get him when he is ready for a move to Europe.

It has been claimed that Chelsea may be able to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney for an absolute bargain in the summer window.

After establishing himself as one of the very best strikers in the Premier League, Ivan Toney is a striker that all the big clubs have been keeping a close eye on over the past 12 months.

It is no secret that CHELSEA are in dire need of adding a new striker to that front line and have been linked with a host of strikers including Evan Ferguson, Ivan Toney, Victor Osimhen and Karim Benzema, with the team languishing down in ninth in the Premier League table.

However – with the Financial Fair Plays rules keeping all the Premier League clubs on their toes – there was not too much business this January transfer window, which frustrated alot of fans.

But there has been alot of rumours in the media that he is one player that the Chelsea board would love to sign in the coming transfer window and now – According to journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea have the 28-year-old on their list and he could be available for just £40m this summer.

On his Substack, he said: “Ivan Toney, also still on our list, I understand would be available for around £40m this summer — Brentford will likely push for a bit more.”

There has been so much transfer speculation and rumours – CHELSEA should have signed Toney last summer – they should have tried to get a deal done before now – so we feel that he will not make the move to Stamford Bridge.

There are quite a few clubs interested in the man – so when the summer window opens up – he will have quite a few options to choose from.

Chelsea should ‘jump at the chance’ to sign Gabriel Jesus if Arsenal make the striker available this summer, according to Glen Johnson.

Before joining Arsenal almost two years ago, Jesus enjoyed five successful years at Manchester City, scoring 95 goals and helping the Sky Blues win four Premier League titles.

His move to the Emirates has seen some very good performances from the Brazilian star and he has proven that he is a top-class striker at times, but most of his time with the Gunners has been spent on the sidelines.

Despite his underwhelming stint at Arsenal, ex-Premier League defender Johnson would be surprised if he was put up for sale this summer – but insists he would be a great signing for the likes of CHELSEA.

Asked if Chelsea and Liverpool should make moves for Jesus if he becomes available, Johnson told Betfred: ‘Yes, definitely

‘I would be surprised if Arsenal do actually want to sell him because I think that would be crazy. If he does become available, either Chelsea or Liverpool should bite their arm off.

‘He’s not going to get you 25-goals-a-season, but he’s going to be a big part of the team and he works his socks off. In front of goal, he’s going to score a lot of goals at a club like that where he’ll get a lot of opportunities.

‘If Arsenal do let him go, then Chelsea and Liverpool should absolutely jump at the chance.’

Gabriel Jesus is a player that Mikel Arteta really trusts – really believes in and will not allow to depart the club unless the Gunners get an offer that is crazy.

But if he does come onto the market – it would be a waste of money from CHELSEA or Liverpool to get the man considering he will be just as injury prone as he is now.
