Chelsea have confirmed the departure of Malang Sarr, as the defender has joined Lens
The talented defender came to Stamford Bridge with alot of hop that he could develop into one of the very best defenders in the game – but he was not been given the game time needed for that to happen – and he ended up being a bit of a flop.
Now – the Blues have confirmed that the club and Sarr have partied ways – A statement reads: “Chelsea Football Club and Malang Sarr have agreed to terminate the defender’s contract.
“The Frenchman departs Stamford Bridge having made 21 appearances since joining in August 2020. Sarr spent time on loan at Porto and Monaco during his time at the club.
“We wish Malang all the best for the future.
Sarr has joined Lens on a two-year contract.

Maybe Sarr was never meant to come to the Premier League – or maybe he joined the wrong club – but right now – this is the best option for the lad as he needs game time.
His dream to make it at Chelsea is over – he is not part of the plans at the club and will only get game time if there is a number of injuries ahead of him, so the decision to leave the club may be the best thing for the defender.
He still has a long future ahead of him and needs to play guys. And to be honest, CHELSEA need to get back some of that money they have spent on all these new players over the last couple of transfer windows, they have far too many stars in at the club now that need to get sold on.
RABIOT COULD BE GREAT SIGNING –
Adrien Rabiot, the Juventus midfielder, would be a great free signing for CHELSEA reporter Iomie Stanley has come out and claimed.
The Frenchman has been at the Italian giants for the last few seasons, but is now a free agent after his deal with the club expired.
There has been alot of rumours that Chelsea are already interested in trying to sign him up on a Free deal, and in this article we take a look at why he could be a real coup for the club, reporter Iomie Stanley says:
‘Rabiot is a versatile player who can play in a variety of positions in midfield, including as a central midfielder, defensive midfielder, and attacking midfielder.
‘Rabiot’s skill set is well-suited to the Premier League. He is a strong, physical player who is comfortable in possession and has excellent dribbling skills. He is also a good passer of the ball, which is essential for a team like CHELSEA that likes to play possession-based football. Additionally, Rabiot has an eye for goal, which would be a welcome addition to the Blues team.
‘Rabiot has a lot of experience at the highest level of football. He has played for some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus. He has also played in the Champions League and at international level with France. This experience would be invaluable to a Chelsea team that is struggling right now.
‘Rabiot would be a good fit for Chelsea’s style of play. He is a player who likes to play with the ball at his feet and is comfortable in tight spaces. He is also good at pressing and winning the ball back, which would be useful in Chelsea’s high-pressing system. CHELSEA have suffered immensely in the flanks this term with Raheem Sterling underwhelming. Meanwhile, the North Londoners have heavily depended on Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli in their wings.
The Euro 2020 winner is now seemingly on the market after Thiago Motta took over as Juventus boss, as GiveMeSport state he is a player that the Italians are ready to cash in on this summer window.
Roma and Napoli are interested in signing the 26-year-old, but it is believed that Chiesa would be open to the idea of making a move to the Premier League this summer window.

Chiesa is proven at the highest level of the game, has the ability to play in a number of positions, is a man that is made for the big games, and if he wants to come to the Premier League, Chelsea could be the ideal move to make.
The only problem with his potential arrival is that he is a starter, he will want to play every week, play every minute of every match and will not want to be backup.
Add that to his massive asking price – it is a deal that the Blues may not look to pursue unless they can get the Italian for an absolute bargain.
But the fact that CHELSEA do not have Champions League football – that could scupper any potential deal as the Italian is keen to keep on playing at the highest level.
