Chelsea CONFIRMS Seventh signing – Blues told sign Frenchman – Defender flying in for medical, Chelsea announcement imminent
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys should have missed –
Chelsea have announced the signing of United States international Caleb Wiley.
CHELSEA have been very active in the transfer market already this summer and have already completed a number of deals that include Toby Adarabioyo, Renato Veiga and Estevao Willian
But the club are still looking to keep on adding to the side over the next few months and keep adding players to the side that they feel can take the club into a new era at Stamford Bridge, and it seems that Wiley is next into the club.
The 19-year-old has already made his senior debut for his country and is tipped for a bright future.
Chelsea posted: ‘Having established himself at senior level, Wiley was afforded 36 appearances during the 2023 season and made his USMNT debut in October 2023 in a 1-1 draw against Mexico.
‘He has again been a regular for Atlanta this term, with 23 appearances made across all competitions.
‘Wiley is currently with the U.S. Men’s Soccer Team in Paris as they prepare to compete in the 2024 Olympic Games.
‘Welcome to Chelsea, Caleb!’

We have been heavily critical about all the transfer deals that CHELSEA have been doing over the past few months as the players that have been signed will probably not make too much on an impact for the upcoming season.
Wiley is another one of those signings that is probably not even ready to make the move to one of the big clubs in world football – he has literally done nothing in the game and is now expected to move to Stamford Bridge and try to make some sort of impact.
He may be decent and could develop in the coming seasons – but like many of the young players that Chelsea have signed over the past few windows and been sold on or loaned out – that is probably the future of Wiley.
But CHELSEA fans will still welcome the player we are sure.
CHELSEA TOLD TO SIGN KANTE –
Frank Leboeuf has told Chelsea to stop N’golo Kante signing for West Ham United by bringing the midfielder back to Stamford Bridge.
Kante was allowed to leave CHELSEA last summer window after failing to hold down a regular starting spot in that Blues side – as injuries made a real impact on the influence he could have in the game.
But after he was surprisingly included in Didier Deschamps’ France squad, Kante has more than justified his manager’s faith with a series of typically energetic displays in the heart of France’s engine room.
Discussing the reports about West Ham being in for the France international on ESPN FC, LeBoeuf was asked about wanting him back at Chelsea: ‘Yeah! I really hope it’s going to be a wake-up call for the Chelsea board.
‘Maybe they say: “OK, for £20 million, we can get Kante back. And we need itt. Because we don’t know what’s going to happen to Enzo Fernandez – and I don’t want to go into that.
‘When I saw the article I said, ‘what? Why Chelsea don’t call him back? The guy is from Chelsea. We don’t want to see him at West Ham, with all due respect.’

Look, Kante looked brilliant for France in that Euros 2024 but being able to put in those type of performances over the course of the season at the very highest level of the game is something that he may no longer be able to do.
CHELSEA allowed him to leave the club for a reason and despite the quality of the man – he is the type of player that the board will not want to sign this summer and a player that will not be making a move back to Stamford Bridge
SARR TO LEAVE –
Chelsea defender Malang Sarr will seemingly soon become a Lens player and is set to have a medical.
The talented defender came to Stamford Bridge with alot of hop that he could develop into one of the very best defenders in the game – but he has not been given the game time needed for that to happen – and he has been a bit of a flop.
Foot Mercato reports that the defender will sign a two-year contract with the club, leaving CHELSEA permanently. The deal is said to have advanced on Sunday evening, with Sarr’s arrival now considered imminent after an agreement was reached between the player and club.
The 25-year-old will reputedly sign that deal after his medical, ending four years as a Chelsea player. Sarr still has 12 months remaining on his current contract, but no fee is mentioned in reports about the player returning to France

Maybe Sarr was never meant to come to the Premier League – or maybe he joined the wrong club – but right now – this is the best option for the lad as he needs game time.
His dream to make it at Chelsea is over – he is not part of the plans at the club and will only get game time if there is a number of injuries ahead of him, so the decision to leave the club may be the best thing for the defender.
He still has a long future ahead of him and needs to play guys. And to be honest, CHELSEA need to get back some of that money they have spent on all these new players over the last couple of transfer windows, they have far too many stars in at the club now that need to get sold on.
