Massive Blues decision made as Chelsea to get 2025 deal done for world class act
There has been some stunning reports which have claimed that CHELSEA have made the decision that they will allow in-prone defender Reece James to leave the club in the upcoming January window.
The Chelsea academy graduate was named captain ahead of the 2023-24 season but went on to endure a frustrating campaign, with injuries restricting him to just 11 appearances in all competitions.
This season has been any better and many Blues fans are wondering what will happen with James, as the defender will no longer be first choice when he is fully fit and playing on a weekly basis.
Real Madrid were heavily linked with a move for the defender during the summer window, but in the end a move never happened as the Blues opted to keep hold of James as Madrid did not want to pay the massive fee it would take to get a deal done.
Now, Simion Phillips provided an important update about the situation on his substack Si Phillips Talks Chelsea. He said as per one of his sources, the Blues are very likely to put Reece James on sale in 2025.

There will be some big changes for CHELSEA in the January window and we are fully expecting the new boss to shake things up – but we are sure that James will be kept in the January window
He may have been injured alot last seasons – but he is still one of the very best right-backs in the Premier League and we are sure that Enzo Maresca wants to see what James can actually do before deciding on whether to let the star leave.
However – we can easily see him leaving the club at the end of the season if the price is right, he is costing the club a fortune on a weekly basis and is not even playing.
