Will Bellingham come to Premier League?

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you may have missed –

Cody Gakpo revealed he will make a decision on his future after the World Cup – and he would be a brilliant signing for Chelsea

PSV reportedly value Gakpo at £40m, a fee that hasn’t changed since the summer despite his electric start to the current campaign.

He’s registered 13 goals and 17 assists in in all competitions for PSV this season and is reportedly a player that Graham Potter would love to add to his squad

Grahm Potter is undoubtedly wants to bolster his wing options and Gakpo is a player that has caught the eye of the Spaniard.

When asked when he will decide about his future, he recently said: “After. I’m not thinking about that now.

“I’m just really focused on the tournament, trying to keep performing well and helping the team and hopefully when we become world champions then I can think about that [the future].

“I’m just trying to keep focused and the other players don’t really talk about those things which also helps me in this situation.

“We came here with a goal which is to try to become world champion. We believe in that and we’re going to fight and improve every day.

“We’re growing in the tournament, improving every game and this was another step higher.”

And if you believe the words of reporter Iomie Stanley – he could be real asset to that Blues side – he told icfootballnews: ‘It is the right thing to do and we will all be interested to see if he stays at PSV or if he leaves – he really is a classy player

‘You can easily see why all the big clubs are interested and honestly, he could be a player that add something to that Chelsea side guys’

‘He is quick – tall – skilfull and has the ability to score and add assists to any attack that he is in.

‘Potter needs something different to that attack – and Gakpo could be that.’

David good signing?

Lille star Jonathan David has admitted that the Premier League is a move he is interested in – but is he right for Chelsea?

David has had an impressive start to the Ligue 1 season and has netted nine goals and three assists in 14 appearances this season.

His performances have led to speculation that both Chelsea and Newcastle are interested in getting some kind of transfer deal done in the January window – as the two both looked to add some more depth to the squad

Chelsea only have Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as their main striker – and although Kai Havertz is a decent back-up – he is not the quality that David would bring to that Blues squad if signed.

But David has said when quizzed on links to Chelsea and has refused to talk to much about his future: “I am aware of nothing. When I am at the World Cup I am just focused on trying to enjoy the World Cup and enjoying the moment.

“What happens after I do not know, we will have to see.

“The Premier League is the best league in the world and I think every player would want to play there some day.”

Reporter Iomie Stanley has told icfootballnews that David is not the right man to lead their attack – he said: ‘His performances for Lille this season and his performances at the World Cup just shows that the player has real ability – he could easily play for a side like Chelsea.

‘However – to move to Stamford Bridge may not be the best one for him to make as they do not play the kind of football that would get the very best out of the star.

‘They need a forward that is able to make an immediate impact on that squad – that is already proven in the Premier League and that is able to cope with the physcial aspect of the English game

‘Chelsea do need to sign a striker in the coming windows – but are not sure that David is the right man for them.’

Bellingham message sent –

Chelsea have been told that Jude Bellingham will not be swayed by money when he leaves Borussia Dortmund.

Bellingham is one of the most exciting young players in the game and has become a midfielder that all the big clubs are looking at trying to sign in the coming windows.

Chelsea are one of those clubs that are interested in a potential deal for the lad – with Red Boehly looking to add some statement signings to the side in the coming windows – and Bellingham is a player that could lead them into a new future.

However – the Blues have been told that Bellingham will not be swayed by money and his decision about his future will not be an sgo trip.

Mike Dodds, the coach at Birmingham City who took Jude Bellingham’s first training session, told Sky Sports News:

“When he left Birmingham, he had a lot of choices and he made a footballing decision. Whether he decides to stay in Germany, to move back to England or whatever club, it won’t be a financial decision, it won’t be an egotistical decision. It’ll be calculated, it’ll be really well thought-out.

“He will have thought about all the pros and cons, and he’ll make the best decision for the next stage of his career”

Bellingham is a serious talent and there is so much hype around the lad – he needs to make the right career choices.

There will be massive offers – there will be alot of temptations for the man – and that is when we will see whether or not the midfielder will make the right career choices.

All we know is that he would be a brilliant signing for Chelsea if they managed to get a deal done
