Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea fc news and gossip from icfootballnews that you could have missed in the world of football..

It has again been claimed that CHELSEA fc are one of the many sides that are interested in signing Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi, a player they were in contact with over the summer transfer window.

The German winger is catching the eye of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United too according to reports with the Blues considering him as a signing that could add some more quality down the flanks of the attack.

Chelsea were claimed to be interested in Adeyemi over the summer, with reports in Germany claiming that the club were ‘already in contact’ with the forward as they ‘wanted to persuade him to move to the UK’

What is the latest on Chelsea signing Adeyemi?

According to Fichajes Chelsea have placed Adeyemi as their main target, driven by the interest of their coach Enzo Maresca, who values the speed and imbalance of the 22-year-old German player.

However, Paris Saint-Germain have also set their sights on Adeyemi, with intentions of strengthening their attack alongside Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratschia. This interest puts pressure on Dortmund, who prefer not to sell the player in January, deciding to not to sell until the end of the season.

Adeyemi is another exciting player that does not need to leave his current club right now – he is developing very nicely at Dortmund and a move to the Premier League at this stage of his career could ruin his development.

He is really confident when he gets the ball one on one. Not many players can stop him, He had a tough time coming here at the start – finding his feet – and now he’s flying.

If CHELSEA get the lad – he would be a very exciting signing – but we simply cannot see him making the move to Stamford Bridge this coming transfer window.

ISAK READY TO MOVE IN JANUARY.

It has been claimed that Newcastle United star Alexander Isak could be ready to leave the Toon in the January transfer window, with Chelsea fc reportedly ready to make an offer and try to get an early transfer deal done.

According to Fichajes.net Isak’s performance with Newcastle has been outstanding since his arrival. With a combination of speed, technique and efficiency in the box. His ability to get unmarked and finish in pressure situations makes him a valuable resource for any club with aspirations of fighting for titles. Chelsea, looking for solutions to revitalise their offensive line, have set their sights on him as a priority.

The reports also claimed that Isak could look to leave Newcastle in the January window as he has been unable to agree that new contract his club would like him to sign.

Isak Open To Chelsea Move?

According to reporter Iomie Stanley, he may be open to  a move to Stamford Bridge: He told icfootballnews: Chelsea’s need for a consistent and prolific striker becomes increasingly evident. Despite spending over £1 billion on new recruits under new ownership, the Blues are still struggling for firepower up front.

‘This lack of a reliable goal scorer has left many speculating about who Chelsea could target to solve their scoring woes. One name that could emerge as a potential solution is Newcastle United’s Swedish striker, Alexander Isak.

‘Chelsea’s striker position has been a problem ever since the departure of Diego Costa in 2017. Several high-profile forwards, such as Romelu Lukaku, Álvaro Morata, and Timo Werner, have failed to meet expectations at Stamford Bridge. With Nicolas Jackson still adapting to the Premier League, Chelsea’s attacking options seem insufficient for a team with aspirations of climbing up the Premier League table.

‘This is where Alexander Isak could come in. The Swedish forward has impressed since joining Newcastle from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2022, blending pace, skill, and finishing ability with a remarkable consistency. Chelsea might view him as the answer to their longstanding goal-scoring problem.

‘At 24 years old, Alexander Isak offers a blend of youth and experience, making him an attractive option for Chelsea’s project under Enzo Maresca. Known for his versatility, Isak can play both as a central striker and on the wings, providing tactical flexibility.

‘Despite their massive outlay in the last few transfer windows, CHELSEA’s spending power under Todd Boehly’s ownership remains formidable. The club has shown a willingness to spend aggressively to bring in key targets, and January could be no different if they feel Isak is the missing piece of the puzzle.

‘With the Premier League’s financial fair play rules in mind, Chelsea could structure a deal with Newcastle that includes performance-related add-ons or offer fringe players as part of the transaction to sweeten the deal. Given Newcastle’s current squad depth, they might be tempted by the opportunity to bolster their team while making a hefty profit on Isak.

‘From Isak’s perspective, a move to CHELSEA could be an appealing proposition. While Newcastle are on an upward trajectory, Chelsea’s history of success and global recognition could be tempting. Furthermore, a chance to play for a club where he could be the focal point of the attack and work under a manager like Maresca, known for developing young talent, might sway the Swedish forward’s decision.’

FOFANA REVEALS EXIT TALKS HELD

Wesley Fofana has revealed he was approached with an opportunity to leave CHELSEA over the summer and he was very tempted to take it after failing to make the impact at Stamford Bridge that he had hoped for since his move from Leicester City.

Fofana – who is tied into a contract until 2029 – appears to have put his injuries problems behind him and has started the new season brightly, starting all but one of Chelsea’s matches in the Premier League.

Marseille subsequently made an approach for Fofana and the France international even spoke privately with Medhi Benatia, the Ligue 1 outfit’s sporting director.

What Has Fofana Said?

‘I had a call that really touched me, and it would be a lie to say that I didn’t consider it,’ Fofana told Telefoot. ‘It was Medhi Benatia, sporting director of OM, and it touched me. Everyone knows why… I had a thought, but the goal, at the moment, is to succeed at Chelsea.

‘We had a call from Mr Benatia. It’s true that it went “boom, boom” in my heart because I was coming back from injury and I didn’t know if I was going to be part of the club’s project.

‘But I had a discussion with the coach and and he told me that he was counting on me this season. So, I said I was very happy, I was 100 per cent with Chelsea.

‘But after that, it’s true that Marseille are in my heart, so we’ll see…’

Wow, this is something that he should have kept to himself – there is no need to make this admission – he stayed – that should have been the end of the conversation, we are sure there will be many CHELSEA fans out there that will be upset about what the defender has said.
