Enzo Fernandez tells fans the aim for Chelsea this season – Poch also issues message.

Enzo Fernandez has opened up and revealed that the aim this season for Chelsea is to win that Premier Leage.

After months of speculation and rumors – Enzo Fernandez made the move to Stamford Bridge in a deal that cost the Blues a massive £105 million, and he has started every single competitive fixture since.

It wasn’t the best few months for the midfielder though, as CHELSEA failed to any trophies, failed to get back into Europe and finished down in 12th position in that Premier League table.

Alot of money has been spent this summer on new players that Mauricio Pochettino believes can come in and make an impact on the side – And now Fernandez has revealed that the aim is for the club this season.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID – 

‘The main aim this year is to win the Premier League,’ Enzo said

‘Now we have a new head coach, you have to say the expectations of us have changed. Obviously, when I arrived, everything was difficult, there were lots of changes going on and everything happened so fast for me.

‘We want to be an aggressive team  that attacks and defends well, that goes into every game to win it, no matter the opponent. We want to dominate every game we’re in.’

‘Having an Argentine coach is much easier for me. Chatting to him, it’s very important. It’s another way to connect because I still don’t speak English perfectly, so speaking to him in Spanish is much easier. It helps my confidence and it’s a better relationship. It also has a big impact on my confidence,’ Enzo explained.

‘I have to say, and it’s very important for me that Pochettino has come in, for me and my team-mates, he’s going to be very important for us.’

Meanwhile boss Mauricio Pochettino has opened up and issued a clear message ahead of the opening fixture against Liverpool in just a few days time, he said: ‘We are in a good way; we are building something special I think,’

‘It’s a process and we need time, but in football you cannot ask for time. You need to deliver from now. We know we are Chelsea and even if young players are involved against Liverpool, the mentality is to win.

‘We are preparing ourselves and we know it will be tough the first game, and then the next game and the next game. But we need to arrive with a good mentality.’

‘My idea and message to the players, the fans, to everyone, is that we are CHELSEA and we need to win. Today, yesterday – not tomorrow,’ says Pochettino.

‘At the same time, we need to be working hard and be clever in how we are going to prepare for the next month, the next six months, for the year. We need to have a plan. We need to have a guide that says, “We need to arrive here”. If we arrive before, perfect. But if not, we still know that we are going to arrive at the destination. That is important.’
