Chelsea will complete the signing of Molde star David Datro Fofana ‘very soon – fans have been told

Chelsea started the season with massive hopes after getting a new board that is willing to splash the cash and sign players that will make a real difference – and some big names were signed by the club.

However – a poor start to the new seasons meant that Thomas Tuchel got the sack and Graham Potter was quickly hired – but his current squad is simply not good enough to compete for that Premier League title.

And now that the World Cup is over – focus can now turn to the start re-start of the season on boxing day – and then the opening of the January transfer window just a few days later

The Ivory Coast international scored 17 goals and registered a further six assists in 29 Molde appearances during the 2022 campaign – and his performance suggest that he is ready for that next stage of his career.

And now it seems that Fofana is a player that is seemingly on his way to Stamford Bridge – if you believe the reports of Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano – he told GiveMeSport: “They already completed the Nkunku deal and he will be a Chelsea player in the summer.

“They will sign David Datro Fofana from Molde. The deal is in the final stages and it could be completed very, very soon.

“Chelsea are already preparing for the future, but Rafael Leao also remains a player they really appreciate.”
