Chelsea free to sign powerhouse – Club Director gives Green light!

Everton director of football Kevin Thelwell has told the likes of Chelsea that players like Amadou Onana will be on the market this coming transfer window.

Chelsea will once again be delving into that transfer kitty when the summer window opens up and adding a few players to the side that can help drive the side back into Champions League football.

Some big names have been linked with a move to CHELSEA – but so have players like Onana – who is highly-rated in the Premier League and a man that is tipped to depart the club when the summer window opens up.

Now – amid all the speculation and rumours – director of football Kevin Thelwell has admitted that he may have to sell some of their big players in the transfer window: “It is also important that I am completely candid with you,” Thelwell said in a statement.

“The reality is, given the regulations in place and the Club’s current financial position, we have to trade well. Working within such tight financial parameters makes the job extremely difficult. Whilst we want to ensure the team is as competitive as possible, we cannot lose sight of our central objective to protect the long-term stability of the Club.

“That does mean players will be sold, and also that every tool at our disposal will be used to secure new additions to the squad, including utilisation of the loan market. Both Sean and I understand the responsibility we have – and that is a responsibility which has to be our priority.

‘That may not be exciting to hear but, under our current circumstances, it is the right thing for Everton.”

Onana is a solid player – but he is not the type of signing that will push Chelsea back into winning that Premier League title on a weekly basis and fans will be hoping that this is just a rumour.

CHELSEA FC on the other-hand need some power in that midfield and adding this unit to the side will be a very good bit of business as he is already proven in the Premier League – unlike many of the current Blues side.

Mauricio Pochettino knows the type of players that will help him take the club forward and we are certain that Onana is a man that would add some force to the midfield.

He could be a very good addition to the side.
