Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed…

Reporter Iomie Stanley has come out and encouraged CHELSEA to make a move for Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher at the end of the season, amid reports that the Blues can sign the stopper for £35 million.

LIVERPOOL made the big decision in the summer to wrap up the signing of Mamardashvili amid all the speculation over the long-term future of Alisson, who has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia for months.

According to The Sun, Liverpool are reluctant to sell Kelleher to a direct rival but would still likely accept an offer in the region of £35million.

Kelleher has made no secret of his desire to be the first-choice goalkeeper somewhere after spending the past five and a half seasons as a back-up option behind Alisson Becker.

It is no secret that CHELSEA are looking at adding a new stopper to the side in the upcoming transfer window, and now Stanley has opened up and shockingly claimed that the board should raid Liverpool for the 25-year old.

He was quoted: “What was really evident to me so far this season was that Chelsea’s No. 1 isn’t as good as Liverpool’s No. 2. Whenever I see Kelleher play, he looks top drawer.

‘Whenever Kelleher’s in goal and he’s played a lot in the last few months, he never looks out of place when he has to come in for Alisson and do a job.

‘Liverpool don’t look any weaker with him in goal and that is a massive compliment by the way. If you’re a Liverpool fan, I know you’ve got [Giorgi] Mamardashvili coming in, but you don’t want Kelleher to go either. He’s too good to be a No. 2.

‘Chelsea want a proven stopper that will increase in value in the coming seasons, Kelleher could be that man.’

Kelleher is a very decent stopper that wants to play and it is a shame that he does want to leave the club as he has been a decent servant for Liverpool – but now is the right time to depart.

But despite being urged by Cundy to make a move – we simply cannot see the stopper moving to CHELSEA .

CHELSEA READY TO SIGN GITTENS

Borussia Dortmund youngster Jamie Gittens appears to be one attacker whom CHELSEA are currently looking at, but they will have to pay some serious money if they wish to get a transfer deal done for the starlet

It is no secret that Chelsea have been trying to sign some of the very best talents in the game over the past few transfer windows and have brought in some quality players that have made an impact this season.

But there is always room for growth at CHELSEA – and that means the club will continue to seek players that will come in, sign massive contracts and hopefully develop into the stars of the future, and now the Blues have their eyes on their next transfer target,

Per Sky in Germany, scouts from Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have been attending Dortmund games regularly to watch Gittens.

Getting him out of Signal Iduna Park, though, will not be easy, with the same outlet claiming that Dortmund have slapped a whopping €100m (£83.4m) price tag on the 20-year-old’s head.

Reporter Iomie Stanley has claimed that it is not the right time for the lad to leave Dortmund, he told icfootballnews: ‘Gittens is showing the kind of potential that will take him far in the game, he is a real star of the future.

However, despite the fact the Premier League is the dream destination for alot of young stars, despite the fact he would get a massive wage from coming to England and despite the fact he could join one of the big boys, he is not ready.’

‘We have seen so many young talents come to the Premier League in recent seasons and get forgotten about, alot of those stars have signed for CHELSEA , so right now the lad should stay put.

‘Of course Dortmund will be tempted by the money – but the right thing to do for Gittens is stay put, develop over the next few seasons and then look for that big move if needed.’

JACKSON HINT DROPPED

Enzo Maresca has dropped the biggest hint that he is not looking to add another striker to the CHELSEA attack in the January window, as he is very happy with how Nicolas Jackson has been playing this season.

Jackson has already scored seven goals and has three assists in just 13 games in the Premier League this season, a record which puts him joint fifth in the charts, alongside Cole Palmer, Yoane Wissa and Matheus Cunha.

However – there has been alot of transfer speculation in the media which has suggested that Chelsea will be looking to sign a new striker in the January window, as the club would like to add another forward to that attack.

But after impressing during the opening weeks of the season, Maresca has dropped the biggest hint that a new striker will not need to be signed in the coming transfer window as he is very happy with Jackson and his performances: ‘He is doing very well with us,’ Maresca said.

‘Since we started, he has been open minded in what we ask him, and sometimes we require different things from him.

‘He’s has an open mind and wants to learn and he’s doing very well, not just in goals and assists, but also the way he works off the ball. The way he presses, he is always aggressive and we are very happy.

He added: ‘He is already good – good enough for us – but like all players, there are many things he can do better,’

‘For sure, this season he’s had one-v-one chances he has missed – that can happen – but he can improve that area. He can be a bit more brave on the ball when we need to link with him but overall there are many areas he’s already improved a lot.’

Jackson has been impressive this season for CHELSEA and that seven goals is very impressive, but the Blues need a front man that has the ability to score 25-30 goals a season, and we are not sure that Jackson will get there for another couple of seasons.

And the Blues board want success earlier than that.
