Chelsea green light give sign Frenchman – Maresca would love 133-goal star at Chelsea – Blues told sign £84M star
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today…
France international and long-term Chelsea target Randal Kolo Muani may be on his way out of Paris Saint-Germain due to underwhelming performances, according to Diario AS.
CHELSEA have a quality attack that is scoring goals on a weekly basis – but Nicolas Jackson is not good enough to score 20 goals a season, while Christopher Nkunku simply cannot stay fit for too long.
Chelsea were heavily linked with a move for Muani before he made the switch to PSG – and could be more than interested again as they seek to continue to add a striker to their already quality attack.
Last season, Kolo Muani managed just six goals in 26 Ligue 1 appearances, and his struggles have continued this season, with only two goals so far.
Having bought from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023 for a hefty €80 million, with an additional €10 million in potential add-ons, PSG are reluctant to take a financial hit and will look for at least €70 million if they decide to sell the 24-year-old forward.
If you believe reporter Iomie Stanley – he would be a good signing for Chelsea – he said: ‘Muani has been very exciting this season guys, he has been special and it is easy to see just why all the big clubs are looking at a possible move.
‘That is alot of money for a lad that has not really done too much in the game – and the fact that CHELSEA need to sign some more established players – they dont need to add Muani to the squad.
‘Maresca will know what type of player that he needs to get the club challenging once again – but as we said – Chelsea have enough young players with bright futures in the game, butting adding this one could make a difference.
MARTINEZ MESSAGE SENT –
Former Blues star Glen Johnson has opened up and claimed that CHELSEA should look to sign Lautaro Martinez – as he could be the dream signing for Blues boss Enzo Maresca.
Enzo Maresca has come in and started the season in decent fashion – he has got this Chelsea side playing some very exciting football and that is why they are better off this season that they were last season.
Chelsea already have a number of talented forwards, including Nicolas Jackson, who has produced five goals and three assists in eight top-flight games this term.
Christopher Nkunku has also impressed for the west Londoners with seven goals across 12 games in all competitions so far this season, but Johnson has opened up and claimed that the Blues need to sign a proven striker in the coming windows.
In order to close the gap to the likes of Manchester City, though, Chelsea may need to add a superstar and Johnson feels Inter Milan’s Martinez is the perfect fit.
Martinez has been at Inter Milan since 2018, conjuring up 133 goals and 46 assists across 291 games for the Italian side.
‘I would love to see Chelsea make a move for Lautaro Martinez at Inter Milan,’ Johnson told Genting Casino. ‘He’s a proper goalscorer. I’m sure there are loads of clubs that would love to sign him, not just CHELSEA.
‘He’s one of those players who probably doesn’t get the respect that his talent deserves or doesn’t get a fuss made over his talent.
‘I don’t understand why that is because he’s got everything that you would look for in a striker. If I could pick anyone for Chelsea to sign, I’d pick him.’

Jackson and Nkunku have started the new season in pretty good fashion and look like a side that can challenge for that Champions League spot, and that is why they will probably not spend money on a new striker.
Martinez could be the dream signing for Maresca – but because of his age – the board will probably not make a move for the forward
CHELSEA TOLD TO SIGN ARAUJO
Chelsea should pay big money and try to sign Barcelona star Ronaldo Araujo this coming January window – reporter Iomie Stanley has opened up and told icfootballnews
Chelsea have started the season in decent form and could be challenging for that Champions League place by the end of the season if they manage to sort out the clubs defensive issues.
Araujo is a player that was heavily linked with a move away from Barcelona in the summer window, but despite all the rumours and despite all the speculation, Barca opted to keep hold of the defender.
But according to Caughtoffside, Chelsea are now very much interested in a deal for Araujo and are ready to make an offer in the January window.
Barcelona are standing firm over Araujo’s availability and will not consider selling the 26-year-old unless they receive a transfer fee above €100m (£84.6m).
The report claims that ManUnited and Bayern Munich, who tried to sign Araujo in the January transfer window, have all made approaches for the defender.
But if you believe the words of reporter Iomie Stanley – Chelsea should pay that for Araujo – he told icfootballnews: ‘If Barcelona make the decision to sell the defender in the January window – he would be a brilliant addition to that CHELSEA side – especially now that The club needs a leader at the back..
‘Maresca will want players that are proven at the very top of the game and he will need the backing of the board if he is to get the players he feels could take the club forward in the coming season.
‘Araujo would be a great signing for the club that is for sure and would that would improve that Blues back-line – CHELSEA should pay that £80 million for the defender.
‘They are wasting millions on talents – Araujo is proven – he is quality – he is the leader that could replace Thiago Silva.’
