CHELSEA were considering making a change because of poor recent results, comments made by Maresca in the media, disagreements with the club’s medical department and reports linking their head coach with other clubs.

Chelsea announced in a New Year’s Day statement that they had parted company with the Italian manager, with reports claiming Maresca had several disagreements with the Chelsea medical department about the fitness and availability of players during his time at the club

It is no secret that Strasbourg boss Liam Rosenior is the favourite to take over at CHELSEA in the coming days, but there are quite a few options for Chelsea to choose from. But Cundy would like to see Chelsea go for a more established name in English football, namely Glasner, who steered Crystal Palace to a historic FA Cup win last season.

‘Oliver Glasner is the one I would go for,’ he said on talkSPORT. That’s where I would go. He has proven himself to be an excellent manager.

‘Chelsea are not going to go out and poach the best manager. For example, we’re not going to get Pep Guardiola.

There will be alot of speculation and rumourd about the next boss to arrive at CHELSEA, it will probably be Rosenior, as there are plenty of coaches that will turn down a move to Stamford Bridge because of the owners.

But Glasner is a quality manager that would bring alot to Chelsea, it is just a case of whether or not he is ready to make that step up in the game and manage one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League.

KOBBIE MAINOO MESSAGE SENT

Kobbie Mainoo will not be allowed to leave Manchester United in January, which will come as bad news for the likes of Chelsea, who have been courting the young player for the last couple of transfer windows and are very interested in signing the lad.

He is a player that is now being tipped to become an absolute superstar of the game and there has even been some reports that Spanish giants Real Madrid are eyeing up a potential deal for the midfielder.

But the young midfielder has seen limited game time this season, and there has been alot of speculation that CHELSEA will once again reignite their interest in getting a transfer deal done for the lad and make an offer that Manchester United will not be able to turn down.

However, despite the fact Mainoo is not getting the game time that he would like, United head coach Ruben Amorim has made it clear that he will remain at the club and continue to be part of his long-term plans.

Mainoo has barely played this season, he barely played last season and to be honest, a move away could be the best thing for his career or he may sit on the bench more often than not.

However, a move to CHELSEA or Madrid may not be the best thing for the lad and if he does leave the club, he would need to join a side that are in need of another midfielder like him, the Blues and Madrid dont need him.
