Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed –
There has been some stunning reports in the media which have claimed that Chelsea are planning an ambitious raid on Manchester City in order to sign defender Ruben Dias in the upcoming transfer window.
CHELSEA have started the season in decent form and could be challenging for that Champions League place by the end of the season if they manage to sort out the clubs defensive issues.
There has been alot of links to players that have been established in the game for seasons, but there has also been alot of young players linked with moves to Stamford Bridge in recent months, but now it seems the board are looking for that Thiago Silva replacement.
That is according to Chelsea journalist Simon Phillips, who claims that Dias has now emerged as a genuine centre-back target for the Blues.
Dias has become one of the best central defenders in the world during his stay at Man City, but with all the uncertainty surrounding the future of the club because of their charges and the fact that Pep Guardiola could leave at the end of the season, Dias could be up for grabs.
But if you believe the words of reporter Iomie Stanley – Chelsea should pay that for Dias – he told icfootballnews: ‘If Man Citymake the decision to sell the defender in the January window – he would be a brilliant addition to that CHELSEA side – especially now that The club needs a leader at the back..
‘Maresca will want players that are proven at the very top of the game and he will need the backing of the board if he is to get the players he feels could take the club forward in the coming season.
‘Dias would be a great signing for the club that is for sure and would that would improve that Blues back-line – CHELSEA should pay that £60million for the defender.
‘They are wasting millions on talents – Dias is proven – he is quality – he is the leader that could replace Thiago Silva.’
CHELSEA FREE TO SIGN RAPHINHA –
CHELSEA are still very much interested in signing Raphinha from Barcelona – but will have to pay some serious money in order to get a transfer deal done as the Spaniards are considering selling the Brazilian ace in the January transfer window

Look, there will be alot of rumours over the next few months about the future of Raphinha and to be honest – he probably will leave Barcelona. But is he the type of player that the board like to buy?
CHELSEA have been making moves in the transfer window – but they have stayed away from signing top-quality players like Raphinha for a reason and we are sure that will not change over the next few months.
They have a long-term plan and although Raphinha is only 27-years of age – he may be too old for their future goals – which would be a shame as he is quality, as we have just said.
MUDRYK TOLD TO LEAVE –
CHELSEA transfer flop Mykhailo Mudryk was in attendance at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night to watch his former club Shakhtar Donetsk take on Arsenal, and Blues fans have encouraged the winger to stay put.
Mudryk joined the Blues for almost £90million during last year’s January transfer window, But he’s struggled to get into his new boss’ side, with the squad boasting an incredible amount of talent in wide areas.
Maresca has frequently shown frustration with the winger on the pitch, and his performances have not warranted a start in any meaningful games as of yet and Mudryk has struggled to find his footing in England since he joined the club in 2023 from Shakhtar Donetsk.
CHELSEA signed the winger on a seven-year contract, with his deal not expiring until 2031, but after being spotted at the Emirates – some Blues fans gave taken to social media and told the winger he should stay at the Gunners,
The Amazon Prime cameras picked up Mudryk taking his seat just before kick-off: ‘Can he stay there?’ one supporter asked, while another added: ‘He needs to leave, he’s never gonna do it at Chelsea.’
Several Arsenal fans even seemed to support the idea, with one fan posting on X: ‘Hear me out… six-month loan in January?’
Another said ‘Mikel Arteta can save him’ in reference to Mudryk joining Arsenal, something which was recently suggested by ex-England striker Darren Bent.
‘I do think under Mikel Arteta’s guidance that players would look better,’ Bent told talkSPORT. ‘A prime example – Mudryk.
‘If he had come to Arsenal, he would look better than he does now. Now he’s way off it, he’s completely off it. He’s at a club where players have bypassed him, there’s no clear structure for him.
‘If he goes to Arsenal with a plan that’s clear, that’s half the battle.
