Announcement imminent! Chelsea have agreed January deal to sign Juventus superstar Higuain
Chelsea have agreed a deal to bring Gonzalo Higuain to Stamford Bridge on a loan deal, according to reports.
Higuain is currently on loan at AC Milan from Juventus after the Champions decided to let him leave in the summer after the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, with many reports suggesting that Juventus had to offload the Argentine striker to balance the wage bill.
But his move to Milan has not worked out as many had hoped and he has struggled in front of goal this season, with Higuain not netting for the Italian side since October and that has led to speculation that the Italians want to get rid.
And with reports Alvaro Morata is in deep talks to also leave Chelsea and head to Athletico Madrid, especially since he has been dropped by Sarri this season for star man Eden Hazard to lead the front-line, a deal for Higuian has become a top target for the club.
Now reports on the Sky Sports website has revealed Chelsea have agreed a deal with Juventus to sign Higuain on loan until the end of the season, with reports saying it is understood the loan could then be extended for another 12 months subject to certain conditions.
Sarri is desperate to bring his former player to the squad, despite the worries from the club that Higuain is not the answer to the clubs striking problems.
Would Higuain be a good buy for Chelsea?
There is no doubt that Higuain is a world class players that is just struggling and playing under the guidance of Sarri, it could just reignite his career.
However, there is also news that Mauro Icardi could be leaving Inter Milan after failing to agree a new deal, so if Chelsea had to choose between a striker that is in form and one that isnt, it will be an easy choice as Icardi would represent value for money.
