Welcome to Stamford Bridge? Chelsea have agreed deal to sign superstar Higuain
Fresh reports have now claimed on-loan AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain has agreed to join Chelsea.
The Argentine striker scored 36 goals in Serie A during the 2015/16 season at Napoli under Maurizio Sarri, and the Chelsea boss is reportedly desperate to be reunited with the Argentine striker.
Chelsea have some of the best attacking players in the game right now, but do not have that striker that could land 20-30 goals a season and help them achieve their goals.
Alvaro Morata has flopped since his move to Chelsea last season, and recent reports have suggested that he could be on his way to Sevilla after talks were reportedly opened between the player and the Spanish giants.
Olivier Giroud is not seen as a permanent front-man and is the kind of player that Sarri likes to use off the bench, meaning he has had to settle for little game time this season.
And according to Spanish website Marca, Sarri is about to get his dream signing in the shape of Higuain, as he has reportedly agreed a short-term move to Stamford Bridge.
Will Higuain be a good buy for Chelsea?
Higuain is a top striker that will score goals if he is happy and settled, but the fact he has not scored for Milan since October should be a worry, especially as he will be brought in to score goals.
If reports are true and Chelsea have agreed to sign Higuain, he will be a good short term buy from the club. But Chelsea will need to splash out in the future and try to sign a younger, hungrier and more long-term striker for the club.
