Havertz to become Chelsea’s fifth-highest earner after agreeing massive £140,000-a-week terms
Kai Havertz is reportedly set to become Chelsea’s fifth-highest earner with a weekly wage of £140,000 BEFORE bonuses.
Lampard may have one of the most exciting and creative sides in the Premier League right now, but he will need to spend some money in the next couple of windows to improve the side in certain areas, especially with the likes of Willian and Pedro seemingly on their way out of the Chelsea.
Liverpool and Manchester United have been keen to make sure that they are the only two sides to challenge for the services of Havertz, who is easily regarded as one of the finest talents in the Bundesliga right now.
But it is Chelsea that are now leading the chase to sign the talented German star, who has netted an impressive 37-goals in the last few seasons for Leverkusen to become one of the most talked about players in the Bundesliga.
And according to Nicolo Schira, Leverkusen’s star man has agreed personal terms with Chelsea ahead of a big-money transfer this summer, and claims the Blues have already held talks with Havertz and are believed to have struck personal terms on a five-year deal worth £140k per week
Frank Lampard’s side are looking to pay £72million for a player valued at £90m by his club, as the current financial climate means that they will have to include bonuses to help complete a possible deal.
Look, if the reports are true and Chelsea have agreed a nice big contract with the players agent, then great, the announcement will follow soon and then Chelsea can start eyeing up a new defender to sign up.
But just like many other reports in the media, until an announcement is made, this is just another day of speculation linking the man to the Blues.
So lets see what happens when Havertz gets back off his holidays…
