Chelsea in deadline day talks to sign Bundesliga star – Bayern keen to do deal

Chelsea and Manchester United have made late enquiries for Bayern Munich’s Marcel Sabitzer.
Sky Germany reporter Uli Kohler says that Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic is currently on the phone to both clubs.
Chelsea have been working on a deal for Enzo Fernandez – but it has not been fully agreed yet. While Manchester United have lost Christian Eriksen to an injury until at least April.
Bayern are ready to give him away on loan or sell him permanently.
Sky Germany’s Uli Koehler at Bayern Munich’s training ground:
“I just got a call that Hasan Salihamidzic, the sporting director, is talking to Chelsea and Manchester United about a deal for Marcel Sabitzer.
“He has an offer from both clubs because after the injury to Christian Eriksen, Man United need a defensive midfielder.
“Sabitzer – an Austrian international – is a very good player and Bayern are ready to give him away on loan or just to sell him.
“For Chelsea, it seems as if there [Enzo] Fernandez deal is not working out so they also need a defensive player.
“One the one hand, Bayern have Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka – these are the two midfielders and they are in concrete, they won’t go away.
“Defensively, Kimmich is the man that plays everywhere. If there are 200 games per season, he plays 200 games.
“The number three is Ryan Gravenberch, who Bayern signed in the summer. A young Dutch international player and at the moment, he is the one Julian Nagelsmann likes more than Sabitzer.
“So the chances for Marcel Sabitzer [at Bayern] are pretty low. Bayern has the chance now that he gets some playing experience in England.”
