Chelsea in talks sign midfielder – Giants will let star join Chelsea for €100million – £90M star NEEDS Moves Blues told
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today –
It has been claimed that Chelsea are looking at signing an immediate replacement for Romeo Lavia – and have reportedly opened talks to bring in another midfielder to the club in the coming transfer windows.
It is just over a year that Lavia completed a £58m move to Stamford Bridge, joining the Blues from relegated Southampton, as the the 20-year-old put pen to paper on a staggering seven-year contract.
But his time at Stamford Bridge has simply not worked out and he has spent alot more time trying to get fit than he has playing in that midfield – which has led to alot of speculation about his long-term future at the Blues.
Now – According to Tuttomercatoweb, Chelsea now have their eyes on Hellas Verona’s Reda Belahyane. The report says that club scouts were in attendance for Friday night’s 2-1 win over Venezia.
Belahyane’s idol is former CHELSEA star N’Golo Kante, who he tries to base his game off. He has become a key player for the Serie A side since moving from Nice back in January.
Theo Walcott recently claimed that the former Southampton team-mate Romeo Lavia should have joined Liverpool instead of Chelsea: ‘He’s a very talented footballer,’ Walcott said on BBC Radio 5 Live. ‘He trained his heart out, probably trained too much. He had a serious injury and obviously missed a whole year.
‘There were talks of him going to Chelsea or Liverpool, and I thought, right, as a player, this is perfect.
‘Liverpool would be the perfect club for right now because the midfield was rebuilding at that particular time. Players can, of course, make their choice, but as a career path, he’s stagnated a little bit.
‘The new manager [Maresca] has come in, he’s brought in Dewsbury-Hall, you’ve got Conor Gallagher – similar players to some extent.
‘With the number of players they are signing, good players just won’t get a chance. They just won’t be seen at Chelsea.
‘They’ll be sent out on loan to lower league clubs and not appear. I am worried Romeo Lavia will just be one of those Chelsea players that will just be gone, and you won’t hear much about.’

The move to Chelsea, or any big club, came far too early for the young man and now we are seeing that he is really struggling to make an impact. He is at CHELSEA, so it doesnt really matter that he should have signed for Liverpool is it?
But he could be forced to move if another player comes in.
MUDRYK NEEDS MOVE –
Pundit Jason Cundy has opened up and claimed that CHELSEA should look to offload Mykhailo Mudryk on a loan basis as the winger has failed to live upto expectations at the club and may struggle to get the game time he needs.
Mudryk joined the Blues for almost £90million during last year’s January transfer window, But he’s struggled to get into his new boss’ side, with the squad boasting an incredible amount of talent in wide areas.
Maresca has frequently shown frustration with the winger on the pitch, and his performances have not warranted a start in any meaningful games as of yet, and now Jason Cundy has claimed that he thinks it would be best off if Mudryk was loaned out to adjust to life at the top level.
He said to TalkSPORT: “I think he has got to go out on loan. I don’t see a place for him at the moment. He’s now behind Sancho, he’s behind Neto, he’s behind Noni Madueke. He’s way down that pecking order for me. I don’t see a player in there because you know you have got football IQ.
“Rapid, but at times I feel as though the pace, his feet are too quick for his brain, he can’t quite adjust quick enough. He has got so much under the bonnet, but boy, does he disappoint.”
CHELSEA manager Enzo Maresca has been speaking about Mykhailo Mudryk’s lack of football so far this season.
When asked why Mudryk hasn’t started many games this campaign, Maresca said: “I think Misha played from the start against Wolves in the Premier League. We gave him some games.
“They all want to play from the start but sometimes it is not possible.
“Against Barrow, Misha did very well. I think when he was inside, he was okay. Hopefully he can do a good game tomorrow.
“We can say exactly the same for Nkunku. The club signed him as a big player and at the moment, he is not playing in the Premier League.
“But things change quickly in football. Right now, the situation is this but it doesn’t mean it will be the same for all of the season.”
He continued: “I don’t think with Misha it is a lack of confidence.
“It’s Misha and he needs to improve something, like the rest. But we are happy with the way he is working.”
VLAHOVIC PRICE SET –
There has been some fresh reports which have suggested that CHELSEA may be in with a chance of landing Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic in the upcoming transfer window, if they want to sign a striker.
A report from Fichajes has revealed the asking price that Juventus have set for any teams thinking of moving for the forward in the January window, giving a potential green light to a move.
The Italian side are said to have put a €100million price tag on Vlahovic’s head which could ‘complicate’ any move for the Serbian international in the January window. The report adds that this price could decrease as the player’s contract ticks down as the club do not want to risk seeing him leave for a vastly reduced sum over the next year.
Reporter Iomie Stanley recently claimed he could be a great signing for CHELSEA: “Vlahovic was a name hugely linked in connection with signing for the Blues in 2022 and has been regularly named in transfer windows since.
“Having scored 44 goals in 109 Serie A games for Fiorentina, he decided instead to make a £66.6million move to Juventus over the Premier League and is once again banging in the goals on a weekly basis.
“Juventus are under no pressure to sell the striker in the coming transfer window – but if there is an offer that they simply cannot refuse – then we are sure that he will go for less than that 100 million valuation.’
‘Vlahovic is a very good striker that could be a very good signing for CHELSEA – he is one of a number of options for Enzo Maresca – he could be a very good signing for the right price that is for sure.’
