Chelsea informed £87M target ‘will move’ – Headliner to make sensational Blues move? – Italian addresses rumours
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea fc news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –
Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has opened up on his future amid speculation that Chelsea fc are keen on a deal.
Mauricio Pochettino has not enjoyed his time at CHELSEA FC since his move back to English football and there has been alot of claims that he could get te sack at the end of the season, and De Zerbi has been linked with a stunning move.
However – amid all the speculation and rumours – De Zerbi has opened up and revealed that he is happy at the Seaguls: ‘I do what makes me happy and right now it is to be where I am.
‘I’m lucky now to be able to compete with these teams at this level to play these games.
‘It makes me happy when we win but also when we lose, I feel something special.’
De Zerbi vowed to return home at some stage in the future but said there were ‘some things’ he ‘didn’t like’ about Italian football when he left Sassuolo to take charge of Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2021.
‘One day I will come back to Italy, I don’t know when this day will come,’ he added.
‘But it’s true that when I made this choice a couple of years ago to go to Shakhtar, I did it because I wanted to find a way outside Italy and, without going into too much detail, there were some things in Italy that I didn’t like so I decided to try something else.’
The Seagulls’ CEO, Paul Barber, is ‘confident’ the club can convince their manager to stay put for the foreseeable future.
‘We don’t want to lose him, he is an outstanding coach, probably one of the best in the world already, and that is going to make him attractive,’ Barber told The Athletic this week.
‘But I think Roberto loves Brighton, he loves the club, the people, the infrastructure that we have.
‘And there is this sense that the work he is doing is good for him as well as for us.
‘But that still means at some point in the future he may choose to take that skill base that he has elsewhere – we understand that.’
Barber added: ‘We are aware of that and I have said for years now, the better we do, the higher profile our people become on and off the field, and ironically the more vulnerable we become to losing them.
‘But we know that and we are not stupid. We understand it, but we are confident in our ability to keep people. The contracts are good, the mechanisms to secure the contracts are good.
‘If people are poached they don’t go quickly, or cheaply in some cases, and we always look to a plan that we have in place for that eventuality.’
JOSE MOURINHO RETURN?
Former Chelsea boss Rudd Gullit says Jose Mourinho could ‘return to Stamford Bridge for a third stint in charge.
Mauricio Pochettino has not enjoyed his time at Chelsea since his move back to English football and there has been alot of claims that he could get te sack at the end of the season, and Mourinho has been linked with a stunning move.

Gullit believes Mourinho could work well with the young players and that the former Roma boss still has the appetite to succeed: ‘He has young players and Mourinho could do that with young players,’ Gullit told beIN Sports.
‘He can. I think he can. I like Mourinho. I think what he’s done is unbelievable.
‘He’s been in difficult situations. He was sometimes taking attention to the wrong things at time but I think he has it.’
When asked if he is concerned about his relationship with CHELSEA FC supporters, Pochettino said: ‘No, I am not worried. We need to accept this relationship.
‘Someone asked me, ‘do you feel the love from the fans?’. No. We need to build the relationship between the coaching staff and the fans, you build your relationship through winning games.
‘But at the moment we can’t match the expectation. When we’re not matching the expectation are we going to ask for love? Normally in football when there’s frustration you pay with the coach or with the people who are above with responsibility.
‘I’m not asking for anything, I will continue to work and change this perception, change winning games, we now have one week to prepare for Newcastle and try to win and keep moving and pushing.
‘We need to manage some reality, I cannot explain every day why. Of course, we are working really, really hard to try to win games. The team is fighting, in six days we played 120 minutes last Sunday, Wednesday was another tough game, we are a little bit short in some positions because of injuries or circumstance. We can refresh the team and try to find different ways to play, different systems to try to provide the team with more consistency.

‘If that doesn’t work and the fans are disappointed with that then I respect their opinion.
‘I think the relationship is good, if they did what they did I think it’s the frustration, we need to understand fans are emotional, I am fighting with all my sense to provide the team with the best tools to work and to improve and to play in the best way and of course, scoring goals and win games.
But if that’s not possible… today is my 52nd birthday, I know this business very well, I’m never going to give up, I’m going to fight, I am ready to fight tomorrow again and for the next game. I understand this business, we are going to keep going.’
KVARATSKHELIA MOVE ON –
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent has provided a huge update on his future at Napoli as rumours regarding a possible exit continue to emerge.

CHELSEA FC have not had the best of starts under Mauricio Pochettino and are lacking some top-level players in key areas of the pitch that will help them get back into the chase for a top four spot, which led to reports that Kvaratskhelia is wanted.
It’s claimed that Napoli will demand in excess of €100million (£87million) for Kvaratskhelia, though they are hoping to fend off interest and keep hold of their star man once again in the transfer window.
Kvaratskheila’s agent, Manuma Jugeli, has claimed the Georgian winger will leave Napoli if the club receive an offer they cannot refuse this summer. The club were reportedly in negotiations about extending his contact, but the possibility of an exit remains.
Speaking to the Georgian version of Gazzetta dello Sport, his agent said: “As regards the future, we are talking to the club, we will see what will happen. He will leave if another club presents an offer that the management will not be able to refuse.”
The 23-year-old is currently contracted until 2027, meaning any interested club will likely have to part ways with a sizeable transfer fee to secure the long-term future of the player. However, the figure that would persuade Napoli to sell is yet to be determined.
Speaking on the transfer fee that the club could demand, Jugeli added: “I can’t talk about a specific amount, these are De Laurentiis’s assessments. I protect Khvicha’s contract and work. Everything will be clear at the end of May.”
