Lampard to wrap up summer business with possible Chelsea signing of Serie A defender
Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla is wanted by Chelsea, according to reports emerging from Italy.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has done some wonderful business this summer window and has signed all the players that he believes will help Chelsea’s chances of winning that Premier League title this coming season.
Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Xavier Mbuyamba and Milang Sarr have all been signed to help the club defensively, although the latter have been signed for the long-term rather than right now.
However, it seems that Chelsea will look to get a couple of more deals done before the end of the transfer window as L’Arena claims the Albanian centre-back is a target for the Blues before deadline day.
Kumbulla has been impressing over with Verona and he has reportedly been watched by Chelsea scouts on many occasions over the past 12 months, with the Blues now ready to try and get a £15 million deal done.
Chelsea have done wonderful transfer business this summer, there is no doubt about that and the fans will be happy with the signings that the club have made.
But this is a link that has surprised even us because we believe that Lampard will look to wrap up Edouard Mendy and Declan Rice before the end of the transfer window, and that will be it .
So even though Kumbulla has been impressing the scouts, Chelsea will only get this deal done in this transfer window if they feel that the young man will add to the squad this season.
So it would be a shock to us to see him sign for Chelsea, but if the reports are true and he does indeed interest the Blues, then fans will welcome the man just like they have welcomed all the players that have already made the move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
