Chelsea told pay £84 million and complete signing of leader!
Chelsea should pay big money and try to sign Barcelona star Ronaldo Araujo this coming January window – reporter Iomie Stanley has opened up and told icfootballnews
Chelsea have started the season in decent form and could be challenging for that Champions League place by the end of the season if they manage to sort out the clubs defensive issues.
Araujo is a player that was heavily linked with a move away from Barcelona in the summer window, but despite all the rumours and despite all the speculation, Barca opted to keep hold of the defender.
But according to Caughtoffside, Chelsea are now very much interested in a deal for Araujo and are ready to make an offer in the January window.
Barcelona are standing firm over Araujo’s availability and will not consider selling the 26-year-old unless they receive a transfer fee above €100m (£84.6m).
The report claims that ManUnited and Bayern Munich, who tried to sign Araujo in the January transfer window, have all made approaches for the defender.
But if you believe the words of reporter Iomie Stanley – Chelsea should pay that for Araujo – he told icfootballnews: ‘If Barcelona make the decision to sell the defender in the January window – he would be a brilliant addition to that CHELSEA side – especially now that The club needs a leader at the back..
‘Maresca will want players that are proven at the very top of the game and he will need the backing of the board if he is to get the players he feels could take the club forward in the coming season.
‘Araujo would be a great signing for the club that is for sure and would that would improve that Blues back-line – CHELSEA should pay that £80 million for the defender.
‘They are wasting millions on talents – Araujo is proven – he is quality – he is the leader that could replace Thiago Silva.’
