Chelsea decision made about signing £70M Frenchman made after green light given

Though Randal Kolo Muani does look set to leave Paris Saint-Germain this January transfer window, it has been reported that Chelsea are not currently interested according to L’Equipe.

CHELSEA have a quality attack that is scoring goals on a weekly basis – but Nicolas Jackson is not good enough to score 30 goals a season, while Christopher Nkunku simply cannot stay fit for too long.

Chelsea were heavily linked with a move for Muani before he made the switch to PSG – and could be more than interested again as they seek to continue to add a striker to their already quality attack.

Muani has been a player that Chelsea have been linked with for the past few transfer windows, they wanted the Frenchman before he made the decision to join PSG and have been keeping a very close eye on his situation over the past few years.

PSG know what players they want to help drive the club forward, and so far, Muani has been able to make the kind of impact that prompted PSG to make a big offer and take him to the club

A loan switch is the most likely deal for Kolo Muani but that could involve an obligation-to-buy clause being included which may explain why the Blues are not interested.

With Jadon Sancho, Joao Felix and Pedro Neto all coming in last summer as attackers, there is no obvious place for Kolo Muani in Enzo Maresca’s squad.

Muani is brilliant and it is a shame that he has been unable to progress at PSG like many had hoped for. Every Blues fan knows that the club needs to sign a top striker as what they have right now is simply not good enough to compete.

But even though Muani is quality, he is not really the type of player that would improve that CHELSEA side, he is pretty much the same kind of player that the club have already.
