Chelsea fans told ‘there is no better guy to play under’ as striker Abraham excited ahead of Blues move

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has backed Frank Lampard to lead the club next season, stating that the former midfielder is the perfect replacement for Maurizio Sarri.

Even though Sarri left the club a few weeks ago, Chelsea fans are no closer to knowing whom would be coming in to replace the Italian for the foreseeable future, despite all the speculation linking Lampard with the job.

Lampard has not spoken about his links to Chelsea this summer as rumours and speculation seem to suggest that Derby will not let him leave the club without a fight, and may even offer him a bigger contract to stay.

But he is still the favourite to lead the Blues next season and Abraham has spoken out about the potential arrival of Lampard.

Abraham will be hoping to take his chance at the club next season after an impressive season on-loan at Aston Villa, in which he helped the club reach the premier League once again with an impressive 26-goals.

“I believe in myself and there is no better guy to play under as well,” said Abraham on the football.london website.

“Someone you have grown up watching, who has been at Chelsea for ever. He knows about me as well. I played against his team in the play-off final. I am pretty sure he knows all about me.”

Lampard is a true legend at the club and it is easy to see just why he is the logical replacement for Sarri, even though he has only had one true season as coach.

Abraham could be the lad to help solve the striker issues at Stamford bridge next season, especially after his incredible season last year, and will probably know that he will be given a chance of Lampard does come back to the club.

Lampard may not be the smart choice for Chelsea to make, as they seem to be going with their hearts, but for the younger stars at Chelsea, it will be a blessing to see him come back.
